I don't know about you but I can't get enough of butterflies lately.
One of my new favorite things to do is layer several diecut (or punched) butterflies together for a 3-dimensional look. These particular butterflies on the layout below were diecut using the Cuttlebug and attached together by stacking all five together and machine stitching down the center.
Patterned Paper (Fancy Pants)
Leafy Vine Die (Quickutz)
Butterflies Die & Embossing Combo (Cuttlebug)
Mary Jane Grand Alphabet (Quickutz)
Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
Butterfly Punch (Martha Stewart)
Scallop Border Punch (Stampin' Up)
Ticket (Jenni Bowlin)
Spiral Notebook Journaling Page, Flowers (Making Memories)
Pearl Gems (Hero Arts)
Rub-on & Border Sticker (My Mind's Eye)
Other: Pop Dots, String, Machine Stitching
And of course I wanted to use up my scraps so I created this matching card. :)
I've been doing a bit of scrap-shopping too.
I have been having some trouble with my printer (the Epson Stylus Photo R1800). It is about 4 years old and get a lot of use and it was just time to upgrade. I bought the Epson Stylus Photo R1900. There is even $150 worth of rebates available now through the end of this month. :)
I also played with Jennifer's Kokuyo adhesive over the weekend and she is right...it is fabulous! I purchased it and the refills. Can't wait for my order to get here. It may just be adhesive but I get excited over little things. ha!
I also placed another order with Stampin' Up. I was wanting some of the new exclusive SU Sizzix dies (especially THIS ONE) so I went ahead and got a few new fun inks, some cardstock, several dies and a couple of other things. :) Can't wait for those new goodies to arrive! I love the new shopping cart feature available for SU, too. Robyn is my demonstrator and instead of typing up an order and emailing her you can just go straight through her SU site and fill a shopping cart and place an order quickly and easily....LOVE that!
Have a great day!
