Happy September friends and stampers!
I am a horrible blogger this week.
Too much going on in the personal life.
So...I've decided to NOT do a video with my product picks this week but I will share just a few items that you will see in Stampin' Fun Friday. Video product picks will be back next Monday.
First, the Whiff of Joy September Release is available now either through the WOJ Website HERE or Simon Says Stamp HERE.
I played with a few different products and techniques for the following card.
I sort of love the WOJ mice...
For my card, I stamped the cute mice on Neenah Solar White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in with the following Copics:
Then, I masked off the mice and stamped over the entire thing with a Hero Arts Design Block stamp with snowflakes. I used Versamark and embossed the snowflakes with clear embossing powder.
Then I took some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and applied it over the snowy background. I didn't go quite to the bottom of the design. I left a little white so that I could add some "snow".
I trimmed the top portion of the card to 3 3/4" wide and rounded the top 2 corners.
Using some Martha Stewart "Snow" coarse glitter, I applied glue and shook on the glitter to complete my snowy scene.
I stamped a scrap piece of Aqua Mist Papertrey Ink cardstock with the Hero Arts Friendship Cling Background stamp and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
Have you ever noticed I use that friendship text background a lot? I *heart* text background stamps. This one and the Old Writing scripty ones are my favorites.
I stamped the greeting right over the text with some black ink.
I stamped the card base (Pure Poppy Papetrey Ink cardstock) with the Hero Arts Cling Dots background stamp and Versamark ink and embossed with clear powder.
Then I simply adhered the top and bottom pieces of the card to the card base, added some ribbon where the two met and added some embellishments!
A little greeting inside the card finishes it off nicely, don't ya think?

WHAT I'M USING THIS WEEK
All of the following products are going to be used on a Stampin' Fun Friday layout.
They could of course be used on a card, too, but I thought a layout might be a fun alternative this week.
I have had quite a few requests wanting me to show more videos tutorials of how I put layouts together so this one's for you girls! (wink!)
Reversed Flowers and Leaves Cling Stamp by Hero Arts AND/OR Flowing Flowers and Leaves Cling Stamp by Hero Arts I'm going to be using one or both of these stamps on some white cardstock. Will be stamping with Versamark. Embossing with clear powder and adding Distress Inks for color.
Wild Honey Tim Holtz Distress Ink OR Scattered Straw Tim Holtz Distress Ink: I haven't decided yet which color will look better with my layout. Heck, I might use them both. Two of my favorite colors of Distress Ink.
Worn Lipstick Distress Ink AND Barn Door Distress Ink: Both are favorites of mine. I tend to gravitate more towards the colorful Distress Inks.
Stampin' Up Beautiful Butterflies Die for Sizzix: Going to be die cutting the stamped/embossed paper with this bad boy. My favorite, favorite, favorite butterflies. The end.
Sizzix Big Shot Machine by Sizzix: I need something to cut out those butterflies. The best manual die cutter, in my opinon. They don't pay me to say that either. I honest to goodness love this machine.
Ranger Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool: This is how those beautimous Distress Inks will be coloring those butterflies. Best. Too. Ever. Enough said.
Kerri Bradford's Sidenotes Kit: Dudes. You get SO much stuff with this kit. There are numerous color choices for each title you see. You can mix and match. This kit is worth it's weight in gold. I LOVE this.
Thanks for stopping by today!
a new layout coming tomorrow...and Friday....and Sunday too...
I am on a real scrapbooking kick.
More soon!
