My Favorite Tools

Silhouette Digital Die Cutting Machine
If you've read my blog for awhile (or see my projects at Two Peas) you know I am passionate about this die cutting machine. Hands down, this is my FAVORITE die cutting tool. I highly, highly recommend it. :)
Tiny Attacher
I love adding staples to my projects and do so on almost everything I create. This tool uses the cutest little staples. I can't get enough of it and use it on everything.
Corner Chomper Crop-a-dile
This is my favorite corner rounder. It cuts through multiple sheets at one time, chipboard, etc. It's just an all around great tool. I use it on almost every layout.
Epson Stylus Photo R1900
This is the printer I have and love. (It's a wide format printer)
American Crafts Cardstock
No, this isn't technically a "tool" but it is a staple in my craft room. This is the absolute BEST cardstock to use with your Silhouette Die Cutting Machine. Hands down.
Tombow Mono Adhesive Permanent
This is the adhesive I am currently using.
Diamond Glaze Liquid Adhesive
I use this for those tiny, tiny die cut pieces and also adhere things like buttons, metals and to secure knots in string so they don't come out. Once dry, it's permanent.
Krylon Spray Adhesive
I use spray adhesive to adhere fabric and small die cut pieces (especially intricate Silhouette die cut designs). I buy mine at Hobby Lobby.
Stampin' Up Slit Punch
This is very much like the MM Slot Punch tool. The positive to this tool is that it is a punch. No extra tools needed (hammer, self-healing mat, etc.). The negative is that you have limited "reach" as far as creating the notch on your page.
Making Memories Slot Punch
This is what I use to make those notches on my pages. The plus to this tool is that it comes with several different tips (they change out) however I have only used the slot one and because you use it like a anywhere hole punch & setter you can create the notch ANYWHERE on your page. :)

Scrap It Weekly 2012 | Week 4 (Video)

Welcome to another Wednesday and another layout + video!

This week I have more old photos that were in need of a new layout. In this series you are getting to see a lot of how I think and how I work. I am really on a kick to get the pages in my "re-do" pile scrapped and put back in their albums. The original page had fallen apart and because these photos tell an important story of what my daughter loved at age 2 I really didn't want them sitting in a pile in my craft room. I want them in her album for us to enjoy!

For the title on my page I used a download from the Silhouette America Online Store by Loni Stevens:

Just a little FYI, this image (and all Valentine's related images) are only .75 for a limited time!

The main part of my journlaing was printed on yellow cardstock and tucked under the larger photos. I added a sticker strip, arrow sticker and a sewed on button to finish the bottom right corner of the layout.

The quote I had used on the original layout, printed on an October Afternoon sticker and placed on my page.

Die cut flowers are such a great accent for almost any project. Here I die cut the flowers from cardstock and ran them through the Big Shot with embossing folders to give them subtle texture before adhering them to my page.
