A good alphabet stamp set can be one of your bestest stamping friends and I am all kinds of crazy for the new Lawn Fawn Milo's ABC's Stamp Set!
I decided to take a break from creating holiday themed projects and instead grabbed super neon bright inks from Hero Arts and neon embossing powders from American Crafts for this easy, flat and easy-to-mail card!
I stamped my card base using Lawn Fawn Belinda's Borders Stamp Set and five colors of Hero Arts Neon Inks. I love how it turned out. About halfway through I was disgusted because my stamping wasn't perfect but decided to go ahead and finish and I'm glad I did. Once I added the stamped and embossed stitched card, the imperfections in background stamping weren't so glaringly obvious and I sort of embraced it! ;)
Next, I die cut a piece of black patterned paper using the Stitched Journaling Die and stamped my custom greeting using Milo's ABC's and Versamark Ink. I stamped the words one at a time, embossing each with a different color of American Crafts Zing! Neon Embossing Powder. I added some detailing to the stitched die cut outline with a white pen.
And finally, I wanted to add a touch of stamping inside my card as well, so I added a greeting from Happy Feast!
(where I've used Milo's ABC's...)
- Autumn Leaves Shadowbox (using Milo's ABC's to spell the leaf names)
- Let Freedom Ring (a 4th of July layout)
- 2012 Christmas Cards From Friends & Family layout (using Milo's ABC's for the words "with" and "from")
