Last week I shared THIS card showcasing the new Simon Says Stamp This Is The Life Best Fishes Stamp Set and SSS Fish and Bowl Craft Dies and today I have another card featuring these awesome products!
I decided to create a larger fish "tank" using the SSS Frames Craft Dies in order to showcase more fish for this birthday-themed card. I die cut some SSS Sea Glass Cardstock using the large scallop SSS Frames die. I created a wavey water background on the "inside" rounded rectangle piece using the SSS Waves Stencil and applying Tumbled Glass Distress Ink with a Dauber Foam Applicator. To give the "frame" more dimension and make it stand out from the "fish tank" I cut several layers from SSS Black Cardstock (3-4 layers) and adhered them one on top of another, finishing with the SSS Sea Glass Cardstock frame.
I stamped the seaweed using Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and colored it in with the matching Mowed Lawn Distress Marker. I stamped the coral with Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink and the bubbles with Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I added some Glossy Accents to the bubbles for fun dimension.
I stamped the fish on Neenah Smooth White Cardstock and using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the fish with Copic Markers (the individual colors I used are listed and linked below in the supplies). I used the Copic Colorless "Blender" to remove some of the ink from my colored fish to give the impression he/she has gills.
I die cut some "sand" for the bottom of my fish tank using the SSS Curved Edge Die with SSS Khaki Cardstock. I stamped a greeting using stamps from the Best Fishes Stamp Set and distressed the edges using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.
