Happy Saturday friends! Today I'm sharing an idea for creating repeating background colored images with the Sweets Stamp Set. Instead of making the Sweets images the embellishment of the card, the images are used to created a custom background by repeatedly stamping the images until the 4” x 5 1/4” white cardstock background is completely full.
The images from the Sweets Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with black ink and colored in with Copic Markers. Additional colorful hearts were stamped using Tickled Pink, My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, New Fish In Pond, and Happy Go Lucky Inks. The addition of colorful hearts fills in the background nicely.
For the greeting, a rectangle was die cut from black cardstock using a Stitched Layers Die. Greetings from the Sweets Stamp Set were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting was adhered to the background with foam adhesive.
Nuvo Crystal Drops finish off the greeting and Glossy Accents, a white opaque pen, and the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen add fun detail to the background images.
