One of my favorite things to do when creating cards is to mix and match stamps and dies from different companies to create a truly unique card. This Mix & Match Monday card features no line watercoloring (something that I'm loving lately) and combining wplus9 Forest Friends and Curious Forest Friends stamps and dies with Reverse Confetti All Framed Up frames, and Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders.
Images from both the wplus9 Forest Friends and Curious Forest Friends stamps and dies were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Waffle Flower Coffee Loves Milk Ink and then colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and watercolored with a water brush pen. Once dry I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
I die cut two grassy borders from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders and watercolored a background and the borders with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, flicking more color over the background and grass borders once they had dried a bit for even more interest.
Once all the pieces were dry (I let mine air dry), I assembled the scene as shown.
Frames were die cut from smooth white cardstock and black cardstock using the Reverse Confetti All Framed Up frames. I pieced the frames together to really highlight the scene, securing the different frame panels together with foam adhesive. A black frame was adhered over the center white frame by running a thin line of glue on the white frame.
Two greetings from the wplus9 Curious Forest Friends Stamp Set were stamped on vellum using Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die cut the greeting with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle Die and adhered it to the top of the scene so the greeting mostly overlapped the tree and can easily be read but you can still see the images underneath the vellum.
The frames were adhered over the background and the entire panel was adhered to a side fold card base to finish the design.
