I got a couple of questions on the stamp storage last night. here's one:
Can I ask one thing please...you mention transparencies - I assume you put your stamps onto these. But how do you get them sturdy enough please? Don't they just flip-flap-about when you have the binder upright from the weight of the stamps?
They can be a bit heavy, but I haven't really had any problems (or maybe it just hasn't bothered me). lol
Here's what I do:
I use transparencies (these are from hammermill), clear sheet protectors and a roll of glue dots.
First, remove the stamps from the contact sheet and set aside. Attach contact sheet to the rough side of the transparency with glue dots.
flip the transparency over and attach the stamps to the smooth side of the transparency.
slip transparency with stamps into a sheet protector and place in a binder. I would put another set of stamps on here before putting it away but this gives you a general idea.
I think the thing I am loving the most about storing the clear stamps this way is that I just flip through the binders like a book until I find the design I want. My problem before was that all the different companies have the stamps on different sized sheets and those small individual stamps (say, for example, the Heidi Swapp single word stamps or my fontwerks journaling ones) would fall to the bottom of the basket or drawer and it was just a mess. Here I can put several designs on ONE sheet and see at a glace exactly what I have.
here's 7 HS stamps all on one transparency
here I got 12 stamps (including my favorite fontwerks journaling ones) on one transparency. and there's even room to add a few more.
Any more questions just let me know...I'm happy to share!
Nichol - thanks for much for showing exactly how you do this. I am so going to do this, as all my stamps need a home like this. I have all of my Technique Tuesday stamps in 2 of their binders, but definitely need this process for the rest of my ever-growing collection!

Thanks for answering my question about the transparencies - really appreciate it. :) The system looks really great :) Might have to try something similar sometime...
I have those Fontwerks journaling stamps too and love them!! :)
Take care,
