I have quite a collection of clear stamps going here in the 'ol studio.
And I love them.
I love that I can see where I'm stamping (I am a hopelessly messy stamper). I love that they lie flat and take up less room than my wood mounted stamps (which I have very few of nowadays as I gave away and sold most of my collection on ebay). And I love that there are so many cool designs out there right now.
But there has been one big problem.
Storage.
Now they are flat but once you get several sets in a bin, drawer or basket it doesn't take long before it is a huge mess. And not all companies have equal packaging. I won't name names. ;)
But I love my clear stamps.
So I have been searching and searching for the perfect solution.
And then I saw Donna's blog on creating her own binder to store her stamps.
Totally cool and totally Donna.
But I didn't want to go to the trouble of making my own binder. I am lazy.
I grabbed several cute binders from my local Wal-Mart, sheet protectors and transparencies and got to work and check out my new system.
art warehouse stamps are all in one binder.
ki memories clear stamps are in another
this binder has Heidi Swapp, fontwerks, cherry arte, sassafrass, etc. (I even put the red rubber unmounted stamps in here).
and then I have one more binder with technique tuesday stamps.
I'm working on the last binder which will hold my Autumn Leaves clear stamps. That will give me 5 binders total. Not too bad.
This takes up way less room and I can't tell you how much easier it is to find just what I'm looking for. I have used my stamps tons this week.
So, so happy. :)
Tonight is date night. We're going out to a shrimp peel with 3 other couples tonight. yummers. Looking forward to an evening out. And my hubby called and told me that his mom asked for the kiddos tomorrow night so it looks like we will get 2 evenings out this weekend! whoohoo!
Have a good one!
