Welcome 2009.
We spent the evening at a friend's house playing games (Taboo and Catch Phrase) after a nice supper out. I think it may be the first time Chad & I have been somewhere other than at home, in our bed, sound asleep on New Year's Eve. LOL It was fun but I immediately turned into a party pooper at 12:01 a.m. ;)
Today is the day that you can place your orders for the super awesome
CK KOTM Project 365. :) SO excited to start this year-long journey today. If you haven't placed your order yet, just click on the ad in the sidebar to the left and get started with a totally new and cool concept that will make recording those everyday moments and memories so super easy!
Not only are we ringing in 2009 today and placing those orders for the cool Project 365 KOTM but the new
Garden is up at
2Peas!
This month's theme is: Yourself.
Here is my themed layout this month, using photos of Jennifer & I from the retreat a few weeks ago. :)

Click HERE to see Jennifer's layout using the same photo. :) So fun. Such good memories. :)
I also did a new product layout, focusing on the yummy new flocked papers from Creative Cafe. I am seriously addicted to all papers with texture: flocking, velvet, glitter...you name it, I love it. :)
(c) Two Peas In A Bucket
I used the Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge for the word "five" and the large flower. And the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge for the number "5". All were cut out of Doodlebug velvet paper (I just LOVE that I can create my own titles, embellishments, etc. out of textured paper with the Cricut. If you try it yourself, I recommend cutting it TWICE so that the cut goes all the way through. I only have the regular blade, though. I *think* they offer a blade for cutting through thicker materials? Anyone know if that's right? I may need to get some of those, if that's the case. :) The flocked dot paper is also Doodlebug. Yum.

This is a Close To My Heart Make/Take project I did.

The supply list is HERE. And the accompanying instructional video HERE. It's a 6x6 Display Album, so cute and I love the colors and quality of CTMH products. Everything in this project, aside from tools such as corner rounders and the label diecut are CTMH. I had been wanting to create an album with some favorite photos of Ethan when he was 6 months old. Such a nice display format for these photos.
All the digital overlays on the photos are from Designer Digitals (see links below).

And finally, I have an exciting announcement. :)
Starting Monday, January 5th, I will be starting a year-long class at Two Peas!
The title of the class is Celebrate the Seasons.
Each month I will be sharing a season specific layout, a sketch for the month, a pdf handout with complete supply list and instructions and an instructional video. On the 5th of each month (the day the class goes live) I will start a thread on the Two Peas Education Board where you can ask me questions. :)
So check back in on Monday and let's get started getting those seasonal photos scrapped and into our albums. :)
