It's time again for another mid-month Garden at Two Pea. I think this month was one of my favorite themes this year: Typography. There are just so many options and the inspiration is absolutely amazing.
Here are some of my favorites (in no particular order) from the mid-month Garden:
- New Garden Girl, Stephanie Dagan created a masterpiece HERE. Holy Moly. I just love every single thing about this page. WOW.
- Mary MacAskill. Hello. This girl blows me away. Check out this great page HERE. And THIS one...and THIS one. Love. SO happy to now be seeing her inspiring pages every month in the Garden!
- Erica Hernandez is so amazing. Check out her darling Halloween layout HERE.
- Lisa Brown. This girl has such a classic style and my mouth is watering for apples now. Check out her fabulous page HERE.
- Moon Ko. Enough said. Her pages are so stunning. Check out THIS one.
- Jen Gallacher never disappoints. I always love how she puts a page together. Amazing scrapbooker. Amazing person. Love her! Check out THIS Halloween layout.
Here are my Typography contributions for this Garden:
I love the new American Crafts Junior line. The bright, primary colors are my favorites and you can use the papers for so many different themes of layouts. I love versatility in my scrapbooking product.
The great typography on so many patterned papers (including the ones I used for my layout) make such a fun, bold statement. Just another way typography is used in our scrapbooking projects.
The large grommets at the top of the page serve as a frame for the MM epoxy buttons. I placed the grommets only through the strip of paper at the top of the page and sewed the buttons to the paper underneath, thus giving me the perfect "frames" for my accents.
I used lots of border punches and Silhouette die cutting for this layout.
That orange varnish dot paper from AC is my new favorite. It's just the perfect shade of orange. :)
I cut the title using a font I had on my computer and my Silhouette. :) That Silhouette gets a workout in my craft studio!

How about another Typography layout?
This one utilizes fonts. I have been wanting to do this layout forever but was having a hard time finding patterned papers/embellishments that would work with the theme but not be "too girly" about these photos of my little guy all dressed up in his sister's dress-up clothes. (I am certain that one day in the future he will be a bit dismayed that he let his sister do this to him...). ;)
I finally setteled on these new Bella Blvd papers and the layout just came together. Love when that happens!
I used some older CK KOTM clear elements over top of my printed journaling just for a fun touch. I designed the title/journaling in PS and printed it on Epson Luster Photo Paper (same paper I used for my photos) so that the colors didn't bleed into the paper.
And, yes, Ethan really does run around singing Aerosmith's, "Dude Looks Like a Lady" all the time. It's hysterical. He also does a pretty great impression of the Black Eyed Peas "I've Got a Feeling" and Rihanna's, "Disturbia". He is quite the performer. ;)

I die cut the labels, the fence and the word "Halloween" using designs for the Silhouette. The word "Disney" was die cut using a font on my computer.
