If you enjoyed yesterday's layout for My Little Shoebox, I have a similar one (at least in design) today.
I am really enjoying keeping up a yearly "in review" layout for each month. I love being able to look at one layout and see an overview of our family's life. I was inspired to start these in review layouts by the month titles created by Loni Stevens and available for purchase and download from the Silhouette Store. It's funny how one small thing (such as these cool outline titles) can inspire a whole collection or series of layouts/projects.
If you missed my past In Review layout share, HERE is the link for January's layout. And HERE is the link for February's layout.
March and May's In Review layout will be shared soon here on my blog.
This is April's In Review layout. Very simple with lots of die cutting, patterned paper and lots and lots of tiny, tiny photos. I used spring-colored papers and themed embellishments to help convey the change of seasons from winter to spring.

I am getting a ton of questions on how I create the photo collages for these layouts. I create them in Photoshop (I have PS CS4). I resize each photo to 1"x 1" at 300 pixels. Then I open a new document and drag and drop the photos until I have the collage I want. I do leave just a tiny bit of space between each photo, just to give the eye a stopping a starting point for each photo. I am printing these out at home on my printer (and Epson R1900) but you could save the collage and upload it to a photo processing site to be printed if you wanted as well.
Another question I am getting a lot of is in regards to the monthly titles. These are all Silhouette Designs created by Loni Stevens for Silhouette and are available for purchase and download from the Silhouette Store. Here's a quick how to video: (Please excuse my raspy voice. Suffering from a little chest cold.)
Have a super day!
