I * heart* flocking.
The texture it adds to a project is so subtle, yet fabulous.
I have been wanting to play with this In the Garden Hero Arts stamp for quite awhile and I finally created something with it. :)
I started by stamping the Hero Arts Eggshell Notecard with the Large Canvas Stripe stamp inked with Wild Honey Distress Ink. Then I used the ink blending tool to add some ink to the edges of the card to soften the stamping.
I stamped the In the Garden stamp on a piece of Basic Grey patterned paper using the Glue Pad. I sprinkled on the Turquoise Martha Stewart Flocking, shook off the excess and set it aside to dry for about an hour. I die cut the window from the Neenah Solar White Cardstock using my Silhouette. Then I stamped it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain stamp. I used the Ranger blending tool to add additional Vintage Photo ink for a more "realistic looking window frame.
I cut a piece of lace and ribbon to fit the top of the window frame and adhered them in place. I added buttons threaded with jute string for a fun touch.
I stamped the greeting on both the outside and inside using Papertrey Ink's Inside & Out Thank You stamps.
Finally I assembled the window elements. I adhered the flocked stamped background to the center of the card, then adhered the stamped window frame using American Crafts foam circles adhesive.
