Making the Most of Die Cutting Machines | August 2010 + Another Die Cut Layout!

This month over at Two Peas I am sharing ideas on implementing DigiKit Download Die Cut files and designs into your paper crafting. The best thing about these types of download files, in my opinion, is that they work with most, if not all, of the digital die cut machines out there. That is awesome. These fabulous designs aren't limited to just one craft cutter. I am all about everyone getting using the same designs. :)

Since this is a 2peas sponsored free class, I used only 2peas DigiKits on my layout. There are 9 die cuts on this layout all utilizing DigiKits. Nine. Don't you love making your own die cuts? I do. Fun!

I mixed and matched from different kits, too. The possibilities are endless.

And, the best news is that these are not Silhouette specific downloads. You can use her die cuts with the Cricut, Wishblade, Gazelle and others. If your digital die cutter can read a GSD/SVG/DXF/PNG/JPG (those last 2 are for digi girls) than you are in luck! Isn't that awesome?!!!!

Not only did I incorporate Kerri's die cut designs on my page (pocket, journaling notebook page P&C, Title) but I also used the first sketch from my good friend Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 2 class for my design. I like getting the most from my scrapbook time. ;)

Remember THIS post from a couple of week's ago where I mentioned using the Dear Lizzy fabric papers + Big Shot Steel Rule dies? I used the Stampin' Up Butterflies to die cut the butterfly accents on my page. I adore that steel rule dies will go through thicker mediums like fabric or fabric paper. :)
