Yes, today I have a layout share. I'm going to push Stampin' Fun Friday back until tomorrow.
Stampin' Fun Saturday sounds good, too, right?
I fully intended to show some stamping today but my sweet hubby offered to take me on a date to see Inception tonight and, well, I ditched the video I was editing to take him up on his offer. ;)
I have been loving scrapbooking again lately.
I'm so glad, too, because it had been awhile since I had really, really loved it.
Here is a layout I created for Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 2 Class over at Studio Calico, based on her 2nd sketch. I am not doing too bad keeping up with the sketches. I've completed Monday & Wednesday's sketches and just have today's to work on over the weekend! Fun, fun, fun! :)
The sunshine, title, scallop borders and flags were all die cut with my Silhouette (all designs from the Silhouette store).

- 2_layer_banner_border_C00557_20509 (scallops)
- 6_banner_flag_set_C00684_20509 (flags: I ungrouped and only used the one flag with no hole)

These are older photos of my oldest when he was not quite three. I changed them to black and white since the colors were a bit off on the originals. They are all 2"x 3" and I just left a bit of the white border around them when I trimmed them from the 8"x 10" sheet I printed them on. Easy way to add a quick mat to a photo.
I loved that he used to always say, "Mommy, it's morning time!" to me. I had forgotten that. I found it written down in a notebook and wanted to get it recorded in his scrapbook somewhere. It doesn't matter that these photos aren't from the specific moment he said that to me, rather that they are from that time period.
I die cut a piece of vellum to overlay the die cut in the center of the sun to help the die cut title "pop" a bit from the background. Vellum is my friend. It saves me so many times when the paper is too bright, too bold or too distracting. Vellum = good.
