I didn't even come close to finishing all the layouts in Kelly Purkey's amazing class during the month of August.
And I am not using them in order either.
I'm a rebel like that.
But that's ok!
I do a layout as the mood hits, inspiration strikes or I am want to scrap a layout and want the design work done for me. ;)
I used Kelly's sketch #10 for this layout.
FYI: This might have been my favorite sketch from the class. It is totally me. Lined up photos, a border strip. Square. I just loved this one.
I flip flopped the sketch and put my border on the left instead of the right and the photos on the right instead of the left but otherwise I kept it all about the same.
Super simple.
New Bella Blvd.
Old Lily Bee rub-ons.
Some layered tags.
Punched hearts.
And favorite photos.
Easy Peasy!
Layered tags.
My new obsession.
I have a zillion of these and I love the look layering them gives to a project. These are both Little Yellow Bicycle. LYB has the BEST journaling tags.
I added a punched heart sewn down the middle for a punch of color.
I wrote this journaling awhile back. No thinking required on my part. Just type, print, cut and adhere.
In fact I scrapped this page awhile back but it was never just right. The brighter colors really compliment the fun and silly tone of the photos.
I have several rub-ons from Lily Bee's first collections (I think they were their first collections anyway) that I simply adore. The "LOL" was a perfect compliment to my page...
... as was the "ha ha ha" that I added to the patterned paper above the photos.

Stamp-A-Ma-Jig: This little tool is worth it's weight in gold. If you use wood block or unmounted cling or rubber stamps, you need this. Serioulsy. Perfect positioning every time. I don't know what I would do without mine. I use it almost every time I stamp. In fact, a video tutorial is coming for this.
Check back the week of Sept. 13-17 for a full week of video tutorials.
Stamping Mask Paper: I know, I know... I have mentioned this many times over the last few weeks. But it's only because I love it so much! This is another stamping must have.
I you love the look of layering your stamped images with backgrounds, inking and more you need this product. Works beautifully for masking your stamped images. I don't know what I did without it.
Well, that's not true... I used sticky notes and they did not work well. At all.
Video tutorial on this coming the week of Sept. 13-17, too!
