Because I still had everything from the October Studio Calico On the Easel kit on my desk from creating THIS layout, I decided to make another. And I even used another photo from Chad & I's recent trip. This is a favorite photo of us. We don't take enough photos of us. This photo reminds me of that and how I need to take more.
To create the background, I cut 2" strips from the patterned papers included in the October Main Kit and the Watercolor and En Plein Air add-on kits. Then I cut them randomly at angles and adhered them to the background.
I stamped the yellow cardstock strips with the Herringbone Border Stamp (exclusive to the Studio Calico En Plein Air Add-on Kit). Love this stamp. Love.
I tucked the 4x6 photo under one of the strips and machine stitched each of the strips in place.
I added some stamping (using Technique Tuesday stamps) to the pre-made My Mind's Eye die cut (from the SC October On the Easel kit). The stamps I used are linked below.
Journaling:
I punched several circles from the text paper included in the main kit and added the Sassafras chipboard flower stickers (also from the main kit).
I wanted to add just a little something to some of the circles so I stamped the Studio Calico Coffee Stain stamp (I don't think this stamp is available any longer).
