I knew when I opted for the 8.5x11 page for Day 1 that the backside of the page would be a great place holder for my oldest son's band concert program. I chose to use it as the "background" of the left side of the spread.
To dress it up a bit (because, really, that green is ugly) I die cut an 8.5" wide title using my Silhouette and this design by Loni Stevens from the Silhouette store:

I adhered it to a 2.5" wide strip of vellum that I added a couple of stamped borders to using Ali Edwards stamps (linked below in the supplies). I used Daisy White ink from Close To My Heart. It's my favorite white ink.
The cute little birdie is a Dear Lizzy rub-on.
I stapled the border in place with the Tiny Attacher.
The right side of the page is one of the 5x5 & 2x5 sheet protectors.
The 2x5 x 2x5 side is where I added my journaling for the day. Adhered my stamped date circle there as well.
I used the 2x5 pockets on the "inside" of the page for photos. I also replaced one of the 5x5 sheets of patterned paper with another photo.
I hadn't intended to share more photos of our nightly reading of Christmas books but Payton picked A Winter Tale by Robert Sambuda (an amazing work of art) and I just had to include some photos.
I really love the interactive feature of this page.
And that is our December 2nd. A fabulous wonderful December day. I can't believe how wonderful this experience has been so far. Pre-planning makes all the difference. So much less work and so much more memory-making. :)

Gosh Nichol! It is so much fun to see your album evolving!!!
Now, the post... attaching all those 'supplies used links and photos' - does that take a million years? It looks like so much work! Thank you for all you are including each day.. Amazing...

I love the way you are using those sheet protectors, it makes the album so much more interesting than just using one size. Looks like your family is really enjoying the season. Have a great weekend.

Love this way of preserving all of the memories of the season! Because of your idea I have been trying to takes photos daily as I put up the various decorations, etc. I even went outside after dark and took a photo of the front of our house all lit up! Now to make layouts with the photos....

It really doesnt take that long now. The service I use is inlinkz.com and it saves all my links so once Ive added it once I dont have to relink everything. Works great for my often used products especially! I think looking at a photo of the product is so much nicer than a super long list. :)
Thanks much!
