I am very excited to be bringing you a new weekly feature courtesy of Two Peas in a Bucket:
From Start to Finish
From Start to Finish is a weekly video + layout that shares the creation of a scrapbook page from start to finish! I got many requests last year to share more how-to videos of scrapbook layouts and in particular to share the creation of the entire page not just bits and pieces. I hope that this new weekly video will fill that void and be something you all enjoy. :)

This week's layout focuses on using the new 10x5 KI Memories Pocket(s) on a layout.
A lot of the video is me explaining how I go about pulling pieces together and how I choose what looks good to me as well as sharing how I create the layout.
This layout is one for my Christmas Cards from Friends & Family Album. I normally scrapbook the photo cards in the 2-page spreads that I shared HERE but there are a few handstamped and special cards that didn't really fit into that design that I wanted to be able to include in my album "as is". I love looking back on these cards and seeing the art and care that went into designing them. In addtion, my daughter made a card this year that is super sentimental to me and I included it with these as well.
The first thing I did was print my journaling on an October Afternoon label sticker. I knew I had limited journaling for this particular page so the label sticker was sufficient room for adding information.
I have been wanting to use these KI Button Embellishment Clips forever so I added the sticker under the clip on the edge of the pocket to make it look like the clip is holding the label in place.
I punched a circle from an old Bella Blvd. paper and tucked it under the label sticker.
I die cut my title using the following shapes from the Silhouette (all designs are Loni Stevens):

family_outline_C00818_19547

To make the title a bit more fun I used two different colors of Doodlebug Petite Print Papers for the bold words. I ungrouped the last phrase shown here and just used the word "and" from it for a custom title. Don't be afraid to mix and match. ;)
I had originally planned on using the Hero Arts Row of Houses stamp on my page but as I stamped a few sample colors trying to decide what color to stamp them in I realized that I really needed a little more color on my page. All the red and green was overpowering the page. This cute house strip from an older Bella Blvd. collection was perfect. It added color and the row of houses look I was going for. Don't be afraid to alter from your course if your original plan isn't working for you.
Punched borders add color and machine stitching gives it a "finished" look.
I always like to add the date to my pages and I used some old, old Making Memories number stickers on a punched patterned paper circle to add the year I received the cards.
Because the journaling on this page is limited I stamped a fun phrase on another punched paper circle and layered it, adding machine stitching and a brad for a fun embellishment.
Then, I finished the page with some stamping under the pocket. I felt like the bottom of the page needed a little something and some stamping gave it some color and text.
