Today I have a super simple card to share with you showcasing Lawn Fawn's Fanciful Frames stamp set.
These frames are great to showcase a fun stamped/masked scene like I'm showing here or imagine using these whimsical frames to showcase a favorite photo or your journaling on a scrapbook layout.
I kept the emphasis on the stamping here by using a very clean and simple background. The PTI Hawaiian Shores cardstock was machine stitched before being adhered to the Hero Arts Snow Notecard. I cut a piece of vellum slightly smaller than the front of the card base and scored approximately 1/4" in on each side using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board. I applied adhesive to the vellum behind where I knew I would adhere the stamped/colored frame.
I stamped the picture "hanger" and greeting directly on the vellum using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I stamped the frame, wave, fish, bubbles and seaweed using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I applied Glossy Accents to the bubbles and let them dry completely. I colored the "sand" in with E33. Then I masked off the frame and the bottom part of the "scene", leaving only the "sky" open and airbrushed using BG32 Aqua Mist. Next, I masked off the frame, sky, fish and seaweed (not the sand) and airbrushed with BG0000 Snow Green. Next I airbrushed the top part of the water with BG23 Coral Sea. The airbrushing colored the bubbles so I took my Copic Colorless Blender (fondly referred to "kryptonite") and removed the color from the Glossy Accent bubbles. Good as new (and white again!).
I cut the frame out and popped it up with foam adhesive.
