Today's Lawn Fawn card using the new Happily Ever After stamp set is one of my new favorites.
I wanted to create a very elegant and traditional style wedding card with lots of white/cream touches.
To jazz up the gorgeous wedding dress stamp, I first stamped the dress on PTI Rustic White cardstock and cut the dress out. Then I added tiny, tiny pearl gems to the bodice, tied a thin organza ribbon around the waist and stamp the dress again on vellum, cutting out only the skirt. I used the Copic Spica Clear Glitter pen to add some shimmer to the skirst and then glued it in place at the waist to give the dress the look of a tulle overlay skirt. I added just a few gems at the hem for a bit of glitz and glam.
I used a MFT doily die cut from PTI Rustic White cardstock to "frame" the dress. I spritzed the doily die cut with some pearl mist to give it a pretty sheen. I punched a circle from vellum and stamped the Teeny Tiny Backdrops Music notes on it with white ink to soften the background a bit.
The base of the card is PTI Rustic White Cardstock embossed with one of their impression plates (linked below).
For the greeting below the dress, I used a piece of vellum again and stamped the greeting with SU Basic Gray ink, then scored the vellum approximately 1/8" from each side using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board. I adhered PTI Vintage Cream Saddle Stitch ribbon to the card, leaving a big extra at each end. I adhered the stamped vellum greeting over the ribbon, then folded the ribbon over on each side securing with the Tiny Attacher. I embellished one side with a cream button tied with string.
I am a big fan of stamping the inside of greeting cards, too. I added the champagne glasses and another greeting to complete my card.
