I really though that creating a card focusing on a set of alphabet stamps may be a bit of a stretch for me, like I was at a complete loss a couple of weeks ago and kept mulling it over in my head wondering where to start.
And then it hit me... some of my all time favorite store bought cards are ones with absolutely no photos but just really great typeface and a sentiment/phrase/greeting that clearly spells out just what I want to say to the recipient.
With that in mind, I created the following card stamping a phrase in colorful ink on a die cut label.
I did end up adding a little additional stamping (the hearts from Happily Ever After) and the Teeny Tiny Backdrops heart background but the emphasis remains on the colorful greeting.
I think it would be so fun to create an entire set of gift cards similar to this with different greetings to give to someone.
After coloring in the hearts with Copics, I added glosy accents for dimension without bulk. I added a bit of glossy accents to the "open" hearts in the background as well.
Some Smokey Shadow cardstock and vellum layered in the background and tied with Oyster Divine Twine help "ground" the label and give an extra "layer" to the card.
