Welcome to the first-ever Technique Tuesday Studio AE Blog Hop!
Today, the Studio AE team is joining up with Ali Edwards to show some projects we made with April’s Studio AE stamp set.
The new stamp set from Ali and Technique Tuesday is called, “It’s in the Details by Ali Edwards.”
The set consists of 13 clear stamps. The set works great for scrapbook pages as well as cards.
The set ships to Studio AE members between the 10th and the 15th. Non-Studio AE members can also purchase the set for a limited time through the Technique Tuesday Web site. Some retailers are also now offering the Studio AE stamp sets for purchase. Check with your favorite retailer for more details about that.
Here’s a project I worked up with the stamp set:
I used the solid "tag" stamp in the set and stamped it 3 times on smooth white cardstock using Stampin' Up Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Crushed Curry inks. I stamped one of the phrases from the set on one of the tags using SU Basic Gray ink.
I printed my journaling on white cardstock and tucked the tags underneath the journaling strip. The grouping of tags gives a nice "foundation" to the journaling strip. I added fun colors of Divine Twine Baker's Twine to a couple of the tags and some silver heart mini brads for embellishment.
I die cut the title using a combination of Papertrey Ink dies (By the Numbers) cut from vellum and the word "months" die cut using my Silhouette. I punched 1" circles from one of the Echo Park patterned papers for embellishments on my page.
To create the stamped vellum strip, I first stamped a couple of the words/phrases from Ali's April set on vellum using white ink. White ink is my favorite ink to use on vellum, I love the gorgeous way it stands out. Once the ink was dry, I scored approximately 1/8" in on each side using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board. Then I adhered the vellum over a strip of patterned paper and placed it over my photo securing with mini staples.
The photo collage is one of Kerri Bradford's (see link below). I just can't get enough of her templates. Makes creating a photo collage easy peasy!
