This month's Scrapbook Stamping focus is on including stamped borders on scrapbook layouts.
There are so many ways to include stamped borders on your scrapbook pages. Anything from using actual border stamps to creating your own stamped border with multiple stamped images. This month's layout and guest designer layouts show lots of ways to create stamped borders.
I chose to go the non-traditional stamped border route and created a custom vertically stamped border using stamps from five different stamp sets! I love being able to mix and match the stamps I have to create one-of-a-kind creations.
MAY SKETCH
The sketch is completely optional, but I like including it for those who like to use sketches. :)
I chose to stamp my border vertically because of the photo collage design. I always start with my photos first and design the rest of the page around them. I used a combination of Ali Edwards Stamps, Studio Calico Stamps and October Afternoon Stamps.
*tip* Lay your clear stamps out on your project before stamping to make sure the design will fit before doing the actual inking/stamping.
I punched several 1" circles from the Cosmo Cricket Social Club patterned paper to include on the right side of the page over the photo collage. It gives the right side of the page, which is photo heavy, more color and helps move your eye across the design.
Simple journaling printed on an October Afternoon label sticker.
I only chose a few photos for my page even though I took lots and lots of photos. The remaining photos will be included in the album in THESE sheet protectors. I just picked some of my absolute favorites for the "scrapbooked" page and will include all the rest of the photos in 4x6 slots. :)
