June's Scrapbook Stamping class focuses on coloring in stamped images.
There are lots of mediums with which to color in stamped images.
Consider the following:
- Copic Markers
- Colored Pencils
- Other markers (Faber Castell, Memento, Gelatos, etc.
- Chalks
- Watercolors
- Paints (Claudine Hellmuth, etc)
- Perfect Pearls
- and more!
I chose to focus on coloring in stamped images with Copics.
Here's the sketch that accompanies this month's class.
To create the colorful title I used a combination of Lawn Fawn and Technique Tuesday stamps. First, I stamped the background using the Hero Arts Graphic Background stamp using Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Then I stamped the bicycle and text stamps over the background stamping. Because the background is fairly light I didn't bother with masking and instead I colored in the images with Copics right over the background stamping. I added additional stamping with Stampin' Up Bermuda Bay ink and a TT phrase stamp.
I die cut the rest of the title using my Silhouette:

The border was stamped on smooth white cardstock (repeating the design), colored in and cut into a strip much like a strip of patterned paper.
I also stamped a phrase border to add additional layering, interest and color.
I stamped the Lawn Fawn Botanicals leaves on a separate piece of paper, colored them in, cut them out and adhered them to my page, adding Doodlebug buttons for color.
I stamped numbers from the Date with Ali Stamp Set on white cardstock, punched them out with a small circle punch and adhered them to photos to reference back to my journaling.
