Welcome to the April Studio AE Blog Hop!
This month the design team is featuring projects showcasing the April Studio AE stamp set, “Hello Routine by Ali Edwards”.
Much like last month's Studio AE project, I stamped some journaling cards for my Project Life album. These are super simple. I stamped each image directly onto one of Becky Higgins' journaling cards. I was sure to stamp these off an edge, whether it be on top or bottom. I felt like with the shape of these stamps it helped to "ground" them, if you will.
I combined this month's Studio AE stamps with other stamped images to individualize each for this week's layout spread. However, I didn't use them all so I have more ready to be journaled on and included at a later date! Love that.
However, I thought you might like to see the cards in action, so to speak, so here's Week 10 of my Project Life:
This was a crazy, busy week with lots of photos and lots of memorabilia and lots of jouranling. I ended up using 3 inserts for this week. This is definitely not something I will do very often but as I go through my week here, I'll explain why I used and included what I did.
The first insert is an 8.5 x 11 sheet protector with my kid's band concert program inside.
Here is one of Ali's April Studio AE Stamps on a journaling card. Simple stamping with computer generated journaling and a date stamp. Simple, easy but just look at how much color this stamp adds to my page!
The second insert is Becky's Photo Pocket Page - Design G. I love this style because it allows me to include additional photos and journaling on a sheet protector slightly smaller than the 12x12 ones I use for my weekly spread.
We went on a little Spring Break quick weekend to Washington DC and I wanted to be able to include more than just one photo per day. This was the perfect way to do that.
I also had stamped up journaling cards specifically for our vacation and included them throughout the week documenting our daily travels. I love that one of the new Studio Calico/Hero Arts stamp sets includes all the states for the USA... perfect for domestic adventures and travels.
The backside of the photo pocket insert page and also the front of the third insert: Becky's Big Envelope Pages. This is where I put all the memorabilia that didn't fit into another slot in my PL album. These are perfect for vacation memorabilia! Consider taking one of these with you when you go on vacation and throw everything into it so it's all in one place ready for memory keeping!
I added additional stamping to the insert that comes with the envelope using Ali's stamps and several of the Studio Calicio/Hero Arts stamps.
Finally, here's the rest of my week 10 with several journaling cards featuring Ali's April Studio AE stamps.
Love the color that these stamped journaling cards add without the bulk. I included some additional stamping to customize them even further.
