I just had to create a little something when Kerri released her newest kit, Summer Lovin', last week. I love the handwritten style of the die cut summer words!
And I decided to play around with die cuts from several kits, combining many of my favs for this fun, summery card (this was actually my husband's father's day card from me.) ;)
I used these designs from the following kits:
- Summer Lovin' ("hello")
- Life Additions #2 (tabbed card)
- This & That Freedom (banner, sunburst)
- Signed. Sealed. Delivered. (star circle)
- This & That Spring (kite)
I used stamps from Studio Calico/Hero Arts (a couple of the clouds are from an older SC monthly kit and no longer available). I am really loving the newest greeting stamp sets from them... be sure to check out all the latest SC/HA stamps linked below. :)
The die cut sun is one of my very favorite shapes. It's great as an accent or a background. The circle with the star is another go-to of mine and I have used the kite before but it's a super fun one to add dimensional embellishments to like twine and gems! And the banner.... what can I say? I use it all the time. I'm a bit of a banner addict! I love that this one can be resized to fit my stamped greeting. What can be better than that?!!!!
