Welcome to the July Studio AE Blog Hop!
This month's stamp set is Summer Rocks by Ali Edwards:
This month's stamp set is full of incredible summer phrases perfect for everyday summertime layouts.
And combined with other stamps from Ali's incredible collection at Techinque Tuesday, you can create one-of-a-kind stamped phrases and embellishments for any paper crafting project!
For my project this month, I chose to highlight my favorite photos from the 4th of July several years ago by grouping them together in a photo collage by Kerri Bradford and die cutting a bunch of banners/flags for the top of the page and adding lots of layers, stamping and fun!
Closer look at the entire flag/tag/banner border:
In addition to the banners, I used a die cut design by Kerri Bradford to make the cute flag and added it to the banner border.
I used Studio Calico Mister Huey mists (in Clay & White) to add distressing after stamping Ali's designs on the banners.
Here are the digital die cuts I used (and kits if applicable):
- Kerri Bradford This & That Freedom (flag, "&", star)
- Kerri Bradford Smitten (heart)
- Kerri Bradford Summer Lovin' ("sunshine", "summertime")
- Kerri Bradford This & That Summer (ricrac border)
- From the Silhouette Online Store: Design id #17708 (sun), Design id #20965 (mini tag)

Nichol, I love the banners and flags at the top of the page... they add so much dimension and details. Really helps focus your eyes to the photo collage. And I love how the Mister Huey clay mist looks...I had been afraid to use such a "dull" color...but now I love the distressed look it brings to the layout. Thanks for opening my eyes!

I love this page so much! I was going to make a page to frame for my nieces room but couldn't come up with a great design, this did the trick! The banners at the top are so very perfect!

What a great layout. I love this stamp set, like I love all of Technique Tuesday's stamps!

I especially like the tag with the orange arrow on it -- the way you stamped one of the stamps in a bolder ink and one in a more subtle color, which made it more of a background "pattern". That pale blue integrates well with the plaid paper near it and adds to the cohesiveness of the layout.

You know what?
I love the 10th!
You are... AMAZING!

I like how you used different colors of inks on the stamps. It really sets things off.
