So a few weeks ago I shared the beginnings of a new quilt that I was sewing for my niece in THIS blog post.
After a very, very late night the day before the big party (yes, I procrastinated a bit too long), this is the finished quilt before washing.
And the back:
After washing.
I just love how quilts look after all washed up and dried. Gorgeous.
Close up at my favorite part of the quilt.... the border. :)
Even though this is a very solemn face, believe me when I tell you this birthday girl was wound up at her party last Saturday night. She was squeeling and just full of it. She was clapping for herself and showing off her ever-increasing vocabulary! Such a sweet, sweet girl!
And, yes, this is the birthday cake frosting face. A girl after my own heart!

Studio Files + KBS designs
Because I know this will effect a lot of you KBS (and other 3rd party die cut designs cut with the Silhouette), as it does me, I wanted to direct your attention to Kerri's blog where she has an important update regarding .STUDIO files that until now have been included in her kits.
The bad news: Silhouette is no longer allowing 3rd parties (meaning anyone other than Silhouette) to create and sell .STUDIO files.
This will effect those of us who use and love Kerri's files by making it a little less easy to import her files into the software (they will have to be imported one by one) and she will not be including the .STUDIO files in her digital kits going forward plus they will be removed from any kit available now.
The good news: you can still buy and use her kits with the Silhoeutte. We will just need to use another file type (i.e. DXF and SVG) when working with her kits and designs.
For more information, please visit Kerri's blog HERE and HERE for all the latest news on this topic. And be sure to check out Kerri's facebook page for all the latest developments and goings on in the world of die cutting!
