Happy Saturday and welcome to another Studio AE Blog Hop!
This month's stamp set is Memories of Home by Ali Edwards.
This month I used several of the stamps from the set to create a "polaroid style" layout featuring some recent favorite memories and stories of my family's home life.
I took advantage of the Dear Lizzy patterned paper design and simply "filled in" the pre-printed polaroid frames with 1.75" square photos, journaling, stamping and embellishments.
I combined a couple of the greetings on my acrylic block to stamp my page title, "The Story of Home" in one of the frames.
I ended up incorporating lots of little bits and pieces from Studio Calico kits for my embellishments. I actually just went through all my past kits and took all the small embellishments (anything that wasn't a sticker sheet) and placed them in a divided plastic storage box for ease of use. I found that although I enjoy keeping my SC kits together in a single box, I was forgetting about a lot of those fun little bits and pieces that come in the monthly kits. I think I will remember to use them more this way!
The darling little house stamp in this month's Studio AE stamp set is among one of my favorites. I just love the sweet little imperfect heart in the center. It was a perfect "frame" for a Studio Calico wood veneer heart!
I stamped each house using a different color of ink on a seperate piece of paper, cut them out and adhered them inside the polaroid frames using foam adhesive. Then I glued a SC heart in the center of each.
I thought the cute little MME enamel dots made for fun "smoke" coming out of the chimneys of the houses. :)
I numbered each of my photos and arranged the journaling by row so that I could break it down into little bits that coordinated back to the photos in each row and keep with the design and feel of the page.

I love this! Your use of the stamp set is perfect and I love how you used the polaroids for the background. I had plans to do a similar type layout with Simple Stories new Snap papers and it's fun seeing it done. I also love the softness of your layout and the little enamel dots for your chimney smoke! :)
