One of the very best things about my job is getting to share projects using products that I actually use and really love. And one of my personal favorites is the monthly card kits from Simon Says Stamp. Whether I choose to only use what's in the kit or to mix and match the components with other products from my card-making stash, these kits always provide that "starting point" for paper crafting goodness!
The March kit is so bright and cheerful and has me dreaming of springtime (especially here in western Kansas where we are on our foruth day in a row of no school due to snow days with blizzard like conditions!). The stamp set for March.... flowers and fun phrases! This is a stamp set where you will see me use every single little stamp included. Seriously. It's one of those stamp sets that is versatile, fun and can be used in a multitude of ways! I shared a sneak peek of an upcoming project on Instagram HERE. Be sure to check back on March 1st for that! Oh yeah, there will be a video too! ;)
Today I'm sharing a totally different style of card showcasing the Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit! I added a few additional goodies and an exclusive SSS stamp and die for this lovely understated card.
I created the card base using the woodgrain white cardstock in the kit. I trimmed the kraft cardstock in the kit to fit on the front and then stamped the entire thing using images from the stamp set and some Hero Arts Unicorn White ink. Love.
I die cut a banner from the remaining piece of white woodgrain cardstock using my favorite MFT banner die and added a piece of washi tape from the kit on top.
For my greeting, I opted to incorporate a stamp and die from my stash (exclusives to SSS) and used foam adhesive to pop it up over the banner.
A twine bow secured to the top of the apothecary die cut/stamped label and adorned with a resin flower completes the greeting.
My Mind's Eye enamel dots, Hero Arts gemstones and stamped "dots" embellished with Glossy Accents completes the background (and the card!).
I love kraft + white + yellow. Like really, really love it. And the Unicorn White Ink is the best. My favorite white ink. Ever.
