Way back in February I shared a sneak of this tag and somehow I just never got around to getting it posted. Bad me. So even though this has a Valentine's/Love vibe I'm going to share it today anyway. And then I'm going to show you a more spring-like example using a similar design!
I have a thing for all stamps all the time because I am a stamp addict versatile border stamps. They can be used in so many unique ways for all kinds of projects. Who doesn't love getting the most bang for your buck? I especially love this Basic Borders set by Mama Elephant.
I am also addicted to creating stamped designs that are basically one-layer but look dimensional because of techniques and inks used.
For my tag I started out with this die cut tag created from a Tim Holtz die and the Sizzix Big Shot.
I used one of the border stamps along the top and bottom of my tag stamped with my favorite Hero Arts Red Royal ink.
I laid out some of the rest of the stamps to get an idea of how far I could stamp down from each border with the additional stamps...
...I went ahead and stamped the adorable bull's eye and heart center using another Mama Elephant stamp set and Hero Arts Granite and Charcoal inks.
Added the coordinating heart stamp to the center of the bull's eye with the Red Royal ink and colored over it with the Sakura Glitter Pen for subtle sparkle!
Then I stamped the solid border stamp using the Hero Arts Charcoal ink along the top and bottom just like the first border and then I used the adorable chevron designs from the Mama Elephant On Target set to create the final stamped border using both Granite and Red Royal ink colors.
To finish the design I stamped a scripty style background using a Tim Holtz stamp and the Granite ink, stamped the Mama Elephant arrow and "Aim For My Heart" greeting using Memories Black ink and the small hearts and "Be Mine" greeting from an Avery Elle stamp set with Red Royal ink.
Sequins, tiny tiny gems, ribbon and clip complete this tag!
And a bit more of glitter pen work.... I traced the target with the glitter pen and small hearts and arrow.

Here's a tag using many of the same stamps and a similar design style but in a different color palette that works better for spring-like projects. I also used a bunch of additional Mama Elephant stamps to create this tag.
To create the "sunshine" I used the same bull's eye stamp but incorporated some triangles from the Trifecta Mama Elephant set to transform the bull's eye into a sunshine! ;) I stamped the triangles in 3 differetnt colors for added interest. The center circle sentiment is from the Say What Mama Elephant Stamp Set and the small hearts is from the Midnight Letters set. Just like the other tag, I outlined many of the stamped images with a glitter pen for added sparkle.
The stamped greeting is a combination of stamps from the Where The Heart Is Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp set and the Smitten Mama Elephant Stamp Set.
I finished the tag with ribbons, sequins and enamel dots.

Have a great day!
