Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week | Our Friendship Grows Stamps

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is featuring the awesome new stamp set, Our Friendship Grows.

Ah, sunflowers.... 

Seeing how I live in the Sunflower State and all....this is one of my favorites from the latest release!

For my card here I chose to tuck my dimensional sunflowers into the jar from the Summertime Charm Stamp Set because.... I'm addicted to jar stamps, jar dies and pretty much anything jar related! ;)

I used 6x6 patterned paper from both Into the Woods and Peace Love Joy to create the background of my card. Then I die cut the sunflowers, smaller heart and leaves using the Our Friendship Grows Lawn Cuts and colored in the flowers with Copics. Then I stamped and colored the sunflowers again and colored them with Copics and cut them out right on the stamped line. I layered these on top of the die cut sunflowers using foam adhesive. I stamped the flowers again and colored and cut out the flower centers before popping them up with foam adhesive. I added detailing with the Sakura White Opaque Pen and then added Glossy Accents to the flower centers and added Doodlebug gems.

I die stamped and die cut the jar and larger heart using the Summertime Charm Lawn Cuts Set. I colored in the jar with Copics and cut a slit in the jar top with a craft knife.

I cut a couple thin strips of patterned paper and used them for flower stemsand tucked them "in" the jar and wrapped the Gold Sparkle Cord Trimmings around the top of the jar.

I punched teeny, tiny holes in the hearts and "hung" them from the twine using string.

With everything going on on the card front, plus the substantial size of the flowers/vase I decided not to try and fit a greeting on the front and instead added a simple stamped "thank you" to the inside of my card.

The front of the card is trimmed so that the decorative paper strips show when the card is closed.

Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week | Stitched Leaves Lawn Cuts + Woodgrain Backdrops

I love Lawn Fawn Inspiration Weeks, don't you?!!!! 

Today the Design Team is featuring the brand new Stitched Leaves Dies and the Woodgrain Backdrops Stamps!

This is actually the first completed LFDT project I created coming back from my long hiatus and it ranks up there with one of my most favorite stamped projects, ever.

I love fall. The colors, the cooler temps, sweaters, hot cocoa, football games, back to school, regular t.v. shows coming back and of course, fall leaves! I knew the minute I saw the new LF Stitched Leaves Lawn Cuts what I wanted to create with them.... my own shadowbox/pinboard of Distress Inked fall leaves to use with my fall/autumn home decor!

I die cut the tags from a variety of neutral backgrounds (wood paper, canvas and white cardstock) using the brand new Tag You're It Lawn Cuts. 

The "title tag' was created using a couple of older stamp sets from Stampin' Up (listed below) that I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The awesome canvas letters spelling "autumn" were die cut using the brand new Cole's ABC's Lawn Cuts! I adore these new alpha dies.

I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks on the die cut leaves, mixing 2-3 colors per leaf to get the desired color and then I spritzed them with a mini mister to get the "splotchy" water effect. Tim's inks play nicely with water and the ink moves when it comes into contact with the water droplets giving the colorful leaves awesome "texture".

I used tiny tiny stick pins (old, old, old Making Memories product!) to attach the leaves to my tags and the canvas background of my frame.

Then I added additional detailing like the Lawn Fawn Gold Sparkle Twine, Into the Woods Sequins, bookplates, Tim Holtz metal embellishments and additional stamping.

The names of the leaves were stamped with my new most favorite Lawn Fawn stamp alpha ever... Milo's ABC's!

This is definitely a more sophisticated look using Lawn Fawn products but it totally works! ;)

And the best part, IMO?

Everything in this frame is completely removable! I attached everything with mini straight pins (even the sequins) so that I can change it up from season to season if I want to! ;)

With the smaller leaves from the Stitched Leaves Lawn Cuts (that I cut at the same time as the larger leaves) I created this card featuring the Woodgrain Backdrops Stamp Set.

I created a tree "trunk" using the woodgrain backdrop. First I stamped the large heart from the set, masked the design and then stamped the tree trunk. I popped the tree up with foam adhesive on a tree background paper from the Into the Woods 6x6 Paper Pad. Then I added the colored critters, acorns and the smaller Stitched Leaves Lawn Cuts colored just like the project above. :) I love how it looks like a tree losing it's leaves!

A greeting and another heart stamped inside the card finish the design.

Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week | Into the Woods Stamps

Welcome to Day 4 of the August Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! 

Today the Design Team is featuring two of the new product releases: Into the Woods Stamp Set and So Thankful Dies.

How cute is the new Into the Woods Stamp Set?!!! The little critters in this set are some of my favorite Lawn Fawn characters yet!

I created an interactive card by using the Sizzix Flip-Its Circle for my card base. I used 6x6 patterned papers from the Into the Woods 6x6 Paper Pad to decorate my card base. I had to piece together the woodgrain background and using the Coluzzle Circle Cutter (a super old tool I still use a lot!) to create the circle design on the front of my card. 

I created the "grass" that the cute little fawny is standing in with Martha Stewart Fringe Scissors. I layered a couple of fringed half circles for dimension.

The greeting was stamped with MFT Hot Fundge Ink and I traced over it with a Sakura Glitter pen.

I colored the deer in with Copics then added additional detailing with a opaque white pen before cutting him out and popping him up with foam adhesive.

The party hat adorned with Divine Twine makes for a fun decorative party hat!

I finished the card front with hearts and word bubbles and added faux stitching with the white pen.

Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week | Happy Feast

It's Day 3 of the Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week!

Today the Design Team is featuring two new mini stamp sets: Happy Feast and Trick of Treat. 

I'm addicted to the chalkboard look. Especially creating my own chalkboard designs with stamps + ink.

For my project share today I chose to focus on the Happy Feast (I used elements from Trick or Treat in my haunted manor share on Friday HERE). I also stamped a few elements from So Thankful and Into the Woods Stamp Sets to round out my design. Instead of using only white embossing powder + white ink for my chalkboard look I decided to incorporate a few colorful embossing powders as well to add a pop of color to my card and I love how it turned out. :)

The frame around the "chalkboard" is from My Favorite Things.

Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week | Into the Woods Paper Collection

Welcome to Day 2 of the Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week!

Today the Design Team is featuring the brand new Into the Woods Collection and it is FABulous!

I chose to create a Project Life page spread for my project. I'm still working on finishing up 2012 PL layouts and this collection worked beautifully for a fall-themed week from last October!

Besides the awesome Into the Woods Papers and Embellishments I also incorporated lots of new and older Lawn Fawn stamps and dies into my page. :)

I used Quinn's ABC's for my title (colored in with Copics) and the little birdie and "hello" from A Birdie Told Me for my title card. I left the two 3x4 cards "attached" (I didn't cut these 2 apart) so that they would completely fill the 4x6 pocket on this page. The smiley face is from A Birdie Told Me and the "a picture...." phrase is from Say Cheese Too.

To number my photos I used the heart from the new Woodgrain Backdrops Stamp Set paired with the numbers from Say Cheese Too die cut with the smallest circle from the LF Circle Stackable Die Set.

I used several thought bubbles from A Birdie Told Me throughout the page spread. I love them. 

I added phrases for icons to them using all LF stamps. The "a sweet treat" is from Here's The Scoop and "thank you" is from Sophie's Sentiments.

I love how using LF stamps throughout the PL spread create a consistent look that is so pleasing to the eye!

Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week | Critters in Costume

I'm so tickled that with this post I can announce that you will regularly see my work over at Lawn Fawn again! After a little hiatus from the team I am thrilled to be back creating with their amazing stamps, dies, paper and more! Love Lawn Fawn oh so much!

Today the team is featuring the new Critters in Costume Stamp Set and coordinating Die Set. 

This might be one of my favorite paper projects I've ever created.... and it is ALL paper. 

If you visit my blog regularly you might notice that along with scrapbooking and card making and quilting I really enjoy creating seasonal home decor projects to display in my home. When I got my Critters in Costume Stamp Set I knew I wanted to create something super special with it. I thought the little critters were the perfect size to adorn a haunted house. 

I set to work looking for the perfect haunted house die cut and my first attempt was a bomb. The house was flimsy and the foundation was unsubstantial and I knew it wasn't what I was looking for. So I turned to Pinterest and came across THIS project (completely unrelated to Halloween but I digress...) and it led me to THIS photo of a haunted house made from paper and I was sold. 

Just like that.

And I had never heard of this company before nor do I know them but I want to tell you that I am thoroughly impressed with their designs! This house has many components but I'm telling you.... SO worth it!

I followed the instructional video to put my house together, purchased some flickering faux battery operated candles at Hobby Lobby to place inside my house to light up the vellum windows (I am using 3. 2 in the main part of the house and 1 for the upper floor) and then set to adding my LF Critter Trick or Treaters!

Every house needs a house number, right? Tim Holtz Plaquettes make the perfect house number adornment for a haunted house!

I also used a Tim Holtz Fastener on the door because I thought it made the perfect door knocker! ;)

A glittery brad (a really old one from KI Memories is the door "handle".

I had to use one of the ghosts from LF Happy Haunting Stamp Set peeking out the door and I added the bunny in a pumpkin from Critters in Costume as well as the leaves and the pumpkins from So Thankful Stamp Set die cut with the brand new coordinating die set! Those pumpkins..... I used them a lot. LOVE them.

The upper floor showcases the Heebie Jeebies Stamp Set (one of my fav's!) with the spider web stamped and embossed, spider and bats.  A little ghostie peeking out from the upper window keeps with the "haunted theme". ;)

A look at the entire front porch from the front. I used all the critters from Critters in Costume plus added additional critters from Critters on the Savanna and Critters in the Forest to round out the trick or treaters. I added "costumes" to these critters by using hats from the Hats Off To You Stamp Set.

My kids think the leaves "make the house". Funny how something so small makes such a big impact! And I LOVE that there is a coordinating die for it! ;)

I colored some of the pumpkins "white" for variety! 

This is the left side of the house with trick or treaters heading towards the front porch.... and two little ghosties peeking out from the window!

One element that I added last was the flower pot from the new Our Friendship Grows Stamp Set and the bones from Critters in the Dog Park. It actually came to me one night as I was lying in bed getting ready to fall asleep! I love when you can incorporate non-holiday themed stamps in a fun, new way!
