Hello Life Documented/Project Life Friends! I'm excited to be blogging on the Simple Stories Blog today with a brand new Life Documented layout.
One of my favorite things about the Simple Stories Collections is how well they mix and match with each other giving the artisit the ability to create completely customized Life Documented pages tailored for recording my specific memories. I began my page with I {Heart} Summer [email protected] Cards and Elements and added in the [email protected] Life Cards that fit my specific memories, photographs and overall design.
For my Life Documented page spread today I chose to mix up the Pocket Pages I'm using and went with two different designs for the left and right sides of my layout and I really love the result. The variety of pocket designs makes customizing your pages so easy and FUN!
For the left side of my layout I used Pocket Page Design 5:
One of my favorite ways to customize the Simple Stories Cards is to add stamping using my stash of stamps and/or to add a bit of computer generated or handwritten journaling. This week was a computer journaling kind of week. ;) I love the "Sunshine & Happiness This Way" Card from the I {Heart} Summer [email protected] Cards and it made the perfect title card for this weekly page spread.
I had a lot more journaling this week than photos and this days of the week [email protected] Card was the perfect place to record all that information! I love the idea of a week in review card tucked in between the daily memories and mementos!
For the right side of the page I used Pocket Page Design 4:
I incuded a couple of 4x6 photos on this side of the layout along with a great [email protected] Card from the I {Heart} Summer Collection that has lots of fun summertime text! This is a great "filler" card that added a pop of color, helps tell the story and is just plain fun! I added a touch of dark grey stamping above and below the printed text of the card to customize it just for me.
One of my favorite things to use are tiny tiny word and/or phrase stickers and Simple Stories has lots of fun ones in their many collections! I love adding these stickers directy to some photos for a completely new and fun look!
