KBS | Mint + Grey Color Inspiration (a layout)

Hello die cutters!

A couple of weeks ago Miss Kerri Bradford hosted a color challenge using mint + grey. My first thought? Yes, please! I adore mint + grey and immediately set out to create a layout with those colors in mind. :)

I have wanted to use the title "Love You To The Moon & Back" from Kerri's Say What #3 Kit forever but I've just never had the right layout. Well, it definitely fit with these sweet baby photos and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out cut from some Amy Tangerine WOW Glitter Paper. Amazing. 

I stamped a bunch of "splatters all over the background using Stampin' Up Coastal Cabana Ink to give it that distressed look that I love so much. 

I also die cut the moon, "baby", "boy" and the stars (all KBS shapes) to complete my layout.

Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit | Nuts About You Card

Today I have another card share featuring the October 2013 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. This is my favorite Simon Card Kit to date! The Lawn Fawn Fall Papers, fall-themed stamp set and sequins all are right down my alley! I used the new exclusive Simon Circle On A Line Die to create a window on my card so that the inside is as cute as the outside!

I used the border part of the die to die cut the patterned papers from the front of the card and the circle from the die set to create the "window". 

I added a piece of white cardstock in side the card  and used Tim Holtz Distress Markers for the squirrel, acorns and greeting. I colored the stamps and then stamped the images so multi-colored stamped images.

I used the Sakura Black Glaze Pen to add detail to the squirrel's eye.

I cut apart the "banners" from one of the papers in the kit and machine stitched them together, then added them to the front of the card. I randomly glued sequins to the front and also "inside" the window.

A peek at the inside where another stamped acorn is visible. :)

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Winter Gifts + Tag You're It Dies

Welcome to Day 5 of the Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week!

Today the Design Team is showcasing the new Winter Gifts Stamp Set and Tag You're It Dies!

One of my favorite parts gift wrapping is adding decorative bows and pretty tags to the packages. I'm a sucker for cutely packaged stationary and gift wrapping items and I thought what better way to showcase a set of gift tags then by creating a packaged set! This would make a great gift or if you can't bear to part with it, use if for yourself! All your ribbons and tags in one convenient place!

I created my gift box by die cutting the Peace Joy Love 12x12 papers on the Silhouette Cameo using these shapes from the Silhouette Online Store (Stationary Card Box 1 of 2: Design ID #29270  and Stationary Card Box 2 of 2: Design ID #29316). I used a sheet of Crystal Clear Plastic cut down to size and glued to the inside of my box for the clear window on the box lid.

I wrapped a pretty red ribbon around the box and glued it in place, then used a circle punch to punch the "Be Merry" element from the LF patterned paper and adhered it where the two ends of the ribbon meet. It slides on and off the box easily!

Inside the box, I used a paper shredder to shred some kraft paper to use as "filler" and then I used ribbons and trims from my stash and looped them and secured them with kraft cardstock stapled together for a pretty presentation! 

I die cut some vellum envelopes using the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Coin Envelope and Simon Says Stamp Gift Card Envelope die. I placed some LF sequins in the small envelopes (perfect to add to the tags if you want to dress them up a bit!) and placed all the smaller tags (cut from the Peace Joy Love 6x6 Paper Pad) in the larger envelope. The envelopes provide not only a place to tuck those smaller items but allow for a pretty presentation too!

I wrapped the larger tags (I cut apart a whole sheet of 12x12 Peace Joy Love patterned paper creating tags!) with the LF Gold Trimmings Twine and my gift box of tags is ready to be gifted to someone!

Here's a look at all the tags. Somme were simply cut from patterned paper, some were and stamped and embossed and some I stamped with colorful inks. I added some subtle glitter with the Sakura Clear Glitter Pen on some of the tags as well.

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Peace Joy Love Stamp Set

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Peace Joy Love Stamp Set.

I adore how the images from this stamp set can be used for a more whimsical design or more elegant like the one I created for my post today. The versatility is amazing!

I used my favorite frame building set from My Favorite Things (HERE) to create the rustic looking frame to house the gold embossed images and greetings from the Peace Joy Love Stamp Set. The beautiful American Crafts Gold Metallic Embossing Powder gives such an elegant holiday feel to this card.

For variety and to highlight some of the imagery on my card, I embossed the birds in white and the hearts in red.

The Lawn Fawn Peace Joy Love Sequins and Gold Trimmings add the perfect finishing touches to this rustic Christmas card.

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Peace Joy Love Paper Collection (a layout)

Welcome to Day 3 of the Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week!

Today the Design Team is showcasing the new Peace Joy Love Paper Collection. I don't know about you but I adore new holiday themed patterned papers and the latest collection from Lawn Fawn is absolutely incredible!

I created a layout featuring my most favorite paper from the collection, the green bokeh. And the best thing about this design, IMO? It doesn't have to be just for holiday pages. This versatile pattern will work for all kinds of page/project themes!

I die cut my title from Ranger Sticky Back Canavas using the LF Cole's ABCs dies. The subtle texture is a nice touch in real life.

I used the Kerri Bradford Snapshots #1 Kit and Snapshots #2 Kit to create the photo filmstrips for my page but I really wanted to add interest with additional filmstrips and color. I die cut a couple of filmstrips using my Silhouette Cameo and this shape from the Silhouette Online Store (Negative Strip 3 Frame: Design ID #5265) and then added patterned papers from the 6x6 Peace Joy Love paper pad inside each frame "opening" for the pops of color.

I adorned the page with stickers, sequins and other random embellishments from my stash. Don't you just love the new Lawn Fawn Sequins?  :)

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Stitched Journaling Card Die

Hello Monday!

It's Day 2 of Lawn Fawn's September Inspiration Week and today the Design Team is focusing on the new Stitched Journaling Card and Cole's ABCs craft dies!

The holiday season is crazy enough without the added stress of creating each and every Project Life card from scratch. To make the season more enjoyable (or to make a friend's holiday season bright!) I created this packaged set of PL journaling cards, polaroid frames and numbered flag die cuts.

I used a couple of the small border dies that come with the Stitched Journaling Card to add cut-outs to some of my journaling cards. I packaged up those little pieced left behind and tucked them into a vellum envelope I created from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Coin Envelope. I love adding these little pieces to projects and now they won't go to waste!

I die cut all the 3x4 cards from the 12x12 Peace Joy Love paper using the Stitched Journaling Card die. I even incorporated a couple of the designs from the Into The Woods Paper Collection to round out the PL card set.

I wanted to create a set of numbered flags or banners to be used with the journaling cards. These would be great to use whether you do PL or December Daily. I die cut each banner from kraft cardstock, stamped each using Milo's ABCs Stamp Set and then scored them in half so that they will easily fold over the edge of whatever I attach them to!

To keep them all together in the set, I die cut a vellum envelope using the Simon Says Stamp Gift Card Envelope die and tucked them inside.

Several polaroid frames die cut using the Say Cheese die and cut from the 6x6 Peace Joy Love Paper Pad round out the set.

Cute packaging makes this a great gift idea too! I used a shape from the Silhouette Online Store (Adorable Box 9) and cut my box from the 12x12 Peace Joy Love patterned papers. Some ribbon and flair make the box a gift. ;)

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Trim The Tree

Welcome to the September Lawn Fawn inspiration week! Today the design team is showcasing the new Trim the Tree Stamp Set and coordinating dies!

For this month's inspiration projects I created quite a few gift-related paper crafted goodies and the first is this paper gift box gift card holder. 

Gift cards seem to be one of the easiest gifts to give however I like to add a little pizazz to these simple gifts with pretty wrapping. The Silhouette and a design from the Silhouette Online Store (Design ID #35381) allowed me to cut the Lawn Fawn Peace Joy Love Collection Patterned Papers and fold them into this fun gift card holder that holds a Starbucks gift card. I adored the inside with stamping and die cutting and added a stamped greeting. 

I wanted to add a bit of sparkle and shine to my Copic colored tree so I used the Versamark Pen to add watermark "feathered" strokes to my tree and embossed the areas with the Ranger Sticky Embossing Powder and then Sprinkled on some of Tim Holtz' new Rock Candy Distress Glitter. I LOVE Tim's Distress Glitters. Love.

I love that the box gives this gift a more "substantial feeling" than a relatively flat card in an envelope. :)

This sweet little gift is ready weeks in advance of the holiday season! Easy peasy!
