I am still loving the chalkboard look and what better way to showcase a text style stamp set than with some chalkboard goodness?!!! I really love the white embossing paired with colorful embossing so for my card today I first die cut the "chalkboard" from the black paper using the new ME die and stamped and embossed the "Christmas" phrase from Merry Greetings using white embossing powder. Once the embossing cooled, I stamped over it again with Unicorn White pigment ink for that faint chalky outline!
I stamped the holly leaves and berries and embossed them with Rouge and Leaf Zing embossing powders for a colorful pop on this neutral-ish card!
I used the Sakura White Opaque Pen to add highlights to the holly berries and to make the "stitching" around the die cut edge pop!
I rubbed a little more chalk ink around the edges of the black paper for a more realistic chalkboard look and then wrapped some string around the piece before matting it on the scalloped die cut.
