Welcome the reader to the 2014 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop!
This is always one of my favorite times of the year.... it's time for brand new Hero Arts Stamps!!!! Whoot!
I have three card shares for you today showcasing brand new Hero Arts Stamps!
My first card today has a how to video to accompany it explaining the resist technique I used for the Hero Arts Tiny Flags Background Stamp. For my greeting and the hearts detail, I used the new HA You're So Kind Stamp Set.
My second card today used the same technique as above only I embossed the Hero Arts Wild and Crazy stamped image with black embossing powder instead of white! Then I masked off each word and used Distress Inks to add color to each word for a rainbow effect!
The background behind the stamped greeting was created with Washi tape! One of my favorite uses for washi tape is to create easy backgrounds for cards. Where cutting patterned papers for a similar look would take a bit of time, washi tape is adhesive and can be adhered in place and torn from the roll quickly and easily! I simply tucked the ends behind the cardstock piece once all the tape strips were in place and adhered it to my card base.
- Hero Arts Wild and Crazy Stamp
- washi tapes from my stash
For my last card share today, I created a coffee cup shaped gift card holder that pairs perfectly with the Hero Arts Need Caffeine Stamp Set. Using a shape from the Silhouette Online Store (Design ID #29511), I created my card from cardstock and patterned papers.
Then I wrapped some ribbons and trim around the middle and added the greeting that I stamped with HA Charcoal Mid-Tone Ink and colored in a couple of the words with markers. I added a couple of stamped hearts from the HA You're So Kind Stamp Set and adorned them with mini pearls.
Finally I finished the inside of the card with another stamped greeting and a Starbucks Gift Card.
