Hello stampers!
Today I'm excited to be sharing a new love themed card featuring Great Memory by Ali Edwards, the Studio AE stamp set for December.
This is one of those stamp sets that will get lots of mileage in my craft room. Not only is it perfect for Project Life and scrapbook page layouts, but several of the tabs make fantastic sentiments for cards!
I've been working on some love-themed and Valentine's projects here of late and so I thought it might be fun to show how quickly I was able to make a sweet card using this month's stamp set plus a couple of Ali's other stamp sets!
FYI: Ignore the fact that with my love-themed card I used Candy Cane Kisses for props. That's what I had and colorwise they looked good! ha!
I tried several different ink colors and even some embossing before settling on basic black ink for my greeting. The crisp black makes the greeting legible and is a nice contrast to the reds/pinks of the rest of the card.
To create the look of "falling hearts" I used a couple of different sized hearts from Ali's stamp sets (linked below) and used 2nd and 3rd generation stamping to get the nice gradient of color. Believe it or not this is just ONE color of ink! Hero Arts Neon Red. It is yummy!
For the hearts stamped with 1st generation of ink, I colored in the hearts with the Wink of Stella Clear Markers and adorned each with a tiny clear gemstone.
