Hello and welcome to the February Studio AE Blog Hop!
This month the Studio AE Design Team is showcasing projects created with Best Banners by Ali Edwards, the Studio AE stamp set for February.
This month's stamp set has lots of fun word banners in Ali's signature handwritten font and a solid banner that makes the perfect background for any of the text banners.
I created a strip of small square photos using a Kerri Bradford kit (linked below) and then die cut an open circle background for above and below the photo strip to add embellishments to.
Here's a look at the page in progress. I die cut one background from white cardstock with all open circles and another with mostly solid cirlces out of a white patterned paper. I cut the center from some of the circles because I like the look of Ali's Fun Flair stamped circles with the aqua vellum background. ;)
I die cut a couple of tags using the My Favorite Things Timeless Tags Die and Technique Tuesday Banners Die. (I cut one end off the banner and punched a hole to make it a tag.) I used the February Studio AE Stamp Set and Ali's Seasons Stamp Set to create my title: "hello winter fun". I used My Favorite Things Grout Gray Ink and Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink for all the stamping. I "hung" the tags from the top of my layout using a Crate Paper clip.
I stamped a bunch of the Fun Flair Stamp Set images on white cardstock using MFT Grout Gray Ink, punched them out with a 3/4" circle punch and adhered them to the center of some of the circle "frames" using foam adhesive.
I used lots of wood veneer and other "natural" colored embellishments to fill the rest of the frames.
I added an additional wood frame over one of the photos in the photo strip. That was a happy accident. The wood frame was exactly the same size as the photo on the strip (2"x2") and it just seemed to be made for this photo!
