Hello there!
Kerri Bradford has been showcasing her Hello There Class all week long over on her BLOG.
If you ever wanted to learn how to really create your own cards (or even scrapbook elements) using the Silhouette Software, this is your chance! I've been a loyal Silhouette user for literally years and I had no idea what all I could create with this amazing machine! Kerri leads you through ten assignments where you learn to make everything from flip cards, your own envelopes, different shaped cards, designing your own print and cuts and so much more! You learn how to really utilize the Silhouette to make the most of your machine!
If you ever wanted to take a KBS class the time is NOW!
You can save 20% on the Hello There Class through the end of the week!

On Monday, she showcased a couple of cards I created using one of the ten (yes, TEN!) card making ideas in the Hello There Class!
To get my feet wet, so to speak, I first created a print and cut cupcake card very much like the one from Kerri's class lesson.
The only thing I did differently was change up the greeting and I added some detailing to the cupcake with a white gel pen and added glitter to the flag with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker.
I thought these would be cute tied to a gift box (and in this case a cupcake gift box!) so I grabbed one out of the Silhouette Online Store and cut this sweet polka dot one from some Lawn Fawn Let's Polka paper.
Next, I wanted to try my hand at my own design. With Easter coming up this weekend, what could be cuter than this sweet little chick card?!
Instead of creating my own shape I used one of Kerri's pre-made designs from her This & That: Spring Kit and filled in the color using the Silhouette Software. I created the eggs by creating simple ovals and dropping color into them as well.
I love the perforated strip that can be torn away to reveal a secret greeting inside!!!!

On Tuesday, Kerri showcased the card insert and paper bag I made inspired by the class lesson in the Hello There Class!
Kerri created a lovely coral and gray project so I opted at creating a mint and gray one instead. It was surprisingly easy to create the sweet little paper bag and card insert and I can see myself using this class lesson again and again!
I used a different greeting than Kerri's class sample and added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker to the text and to the heart further down the card.
I stamped an additional greeting using the SSS Color and Sunshine Stamp Set and the SSS Mint and SSS Fog inks. The colors matched perfectly!
I embellished the paper bag with FREE die cut designs included in the Hello There Class!

On Wednesday, Kerri showcased this floral card and petal envelope from a class lesson in the Hello There Class!
Kerri shows how to create several different styles of flower petals in this class lesson and then how to create a whole flower! I never knew it was this easy! I chose to create this fun tear-drop shaped flower for my card
I backed the die cut front panel with vellum and added a piece of SSS Lemon Chiffon cardstock inside to make the die cut design really pop and not blend into the background.
I die cut a banner from vellum using a SSS Tilted Banner die and then stamped a greeting from the SSS Tilted Banner Stamp Set, embossing the phrase with white embossing powder.
I created a flower center by die cutting a circle from SSS Green Apple Cardstock using the Clearly Besotted You Are Die Set and then stamped the circle with the polka dot design coordinating stamp from You Are. I added white dot detail to the polka dots. Enamel dots finish the design!

Tomorrow I'll highlight the final 2 card projects I created for Kerri's week-long "Hello There Class" showcase. See you then!
p.s. Have you seen the "soft release" products from Mama Elephant for April? While ME doesn't have a full release this month, they did release a stand alone die plus die sets that coordinate with two past ME stamp sets: Lights Out and Type It! I'll be showcasing all three of these new releases with new projects and videos starting next week!
