Today Simon Says Stamp and Mama Elephant are showcasing their latest project: Summer Garden Stamp Set and Summer Garden Dies! I absolutely adore this new stamp set. I always love a really good floral set, don't you?!!
I got to use this stamp and die combination for the Simon Says Stamp Mothers & Fathers Blog Hop HERE and I mentioned at the time how awesome I thought it would be to combine the Summer Garden Stamp Set and Summer Garden Dies with the jar from the SSS/ME Valentine's collaboration Filled With Love Stamp Set and Filled With Love Dies so guess what?!!! That is just what I did! ;)
I stamped several of the 5-petal floral from Summer Garden on smooth white cardstock using the SSS Black Ink and colored them in with Prismacolor colored pencils, blending with Gamsol. I did the same with the individual leaves from the set and die cut all the pieces using the coordinating dies.
I stamped the jar from Filled With Love and lightly colored in the edges of the jar with a blue pencil, blending again with Gamsol, to give it that colorful sea glass "look". I added white dot detailing to make the jar look like the "glass" had bubbles in it. I die cut the jar using the coordinating die and then stamped the tag from Filled With Love usig the SSS Cotton Candy Ink. Once dry, I stamped the tag outline and the small tag greeting and die cut it as well.
I cut a piece of yellow and white striped 6x6 paper and layerd a piece of vellum over the top, adhering both to the white card base. Then I adhered the vase with foam adhesive and wrapped some twine around the top, securing the small tag. I tucked the florals and leaves "into" the jar, adhering some with foam adhesive. I adhered one floral near the bottom of the jar, trimming as necessary.
I stamped a greeting from the Summer Garden Stamp Set using Versamark and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder to finish the card.
