Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Around We Go

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the brand new Around We Go Stamp Set and coordinating Around We Go Creative Cuts dies. I also threw in the new Cityscape Creative Cuts die because I absolutely love it!!!

To create my card I started with a a piece of SSS Surf Blue Cardstock for the "sky" and background of the design. I built upon that by die cutting and layering the Cityscape Creative Cuts die twice: once from SSS Fog Cardstock and once from SSS Slate Cardstock. I layered the cityscapes and ahered them to the background.

Next, I die cut the "grassy" borders from SSS Green Leaf Cardstock using my favorite Landscape Trio Creative Cuts dies. I layered them along the bottom of the design.

I stamped the greeting by inking up only the first part with SSS Black Ink and stamping along the bottom landscape. I cleaned my stamp really well and then inked up only the word "life" using Versamark Ink. I heat embossed the word with white embossing powder to make it stand out and stamped the small heart from Around We Go Stamp Set and heat embossed it with red powder.

I stamped the ferris wheel on vellum using Versamark Ink and sprinkled on multiple colors of embossing powder (see THIS blog post for a similar project and video tutorial). I stamped the ferris wheel "seats" and embossed them in dark brown. I die cut the wheel using the coordinating die and then stamped the rest of the design in black and die cut it before putting it all together on the card. A Hero Arts metallic dot in the center completes the ferris wheel!

I stamped the clouds from the Around We Go Stamp Set on vellum using Unicorn White Ink. I die cut them with the coordinating dies and placed them in the sky above the cityscape. I colored in the hot air balloon using stamp markers and stampe it on white cardstock. I colored in the "open" area on the balloon with a yellow markers and die cut the shape using the coordinating die to finish the card.
