Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Pure Sunshine Release Blop Hop!
The latest exclusive SSS Pure Sunshine Release is knock your socks off ah-mazing, folks! I think this might be my new favorite release. (I also think I say this every single time a new release comes out! ha!)
Today I am honored to be getting to share with you a new card created with the Princess Stamp Set. I knew when this beauty showed up in my mailbox that I wanted to create a sort of "princess in the forest" style card with her and the adorable little frog. The problem? How to achieve the look I envisioned in my head!
I started with the princess. I stamped all the elements for her and the frog on smooth white cardstock and colored in the images with Spectrum Noir colored pencils. I blended the coloring with Gamsol and cut everything out. I added additional detailing to the frog and princess with the Sakura Stardust Glitter Pen and White Opaque Pen. Glossy Accents on the eyes of both make them pop.
To create the background, I cut a piece of SSS Sea Glass Cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" for the "sky". Then using the SSS A2 Card Curved Edge Die I created rolling "hills" from SSS Green Leaf Cardstock and SSS Green Apple Cardstock and "water" from SSS Surf Blue Cardstock. Next, I die cut some trees from SSS Dark Chocolate Cardstock using the SSS Tall Forest Tree die and SSS Small Forest Tree die. I cut leaves from the SSS Green Leaf Cardstock and SSS Green Apple Cardstock using the SSS All Seasons Tree die.
I die cut a couple of clouds using the SSS Flat Bottom Clouds die and stamped the greeting from SSS Princess on the larger of the two clouds using a combination of SSS Doll Pink Ink and SSS Green Leaf Ink.
I thought my little "forest floor" needed some flowers so I stamped several of the designs from the brand new SSS Married Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with colorful embossing powders!
