Happy Wednesday crafty friends. This week over on the Lawn Fawn Blog we're playing along with Xyron to create some fun projects to share with you and today it's my turn!
Adhesives may not be the most glamourous of crafting supplies but I think we can all agree that good adhesives are essential in creating quality designs! I'm showcasing the Xyron 3" Disposable Sticker Maker (perfect for making your own stickers from stamped, colored and die cut images like these Critters Down Under images), Xyron Permanent Glue Stick (works great for adhering vellum and not showing the adhesive!) and the Xyron Tape Runner (which I used to adhere the Grassy Border die cut borders.
I colored in all the images from the Critters Down Under Stamp Set with colored pencils and blended the coloring with Gamsol. I added some detailing with my favorite white pen and die cut all the elements with the coordinating Critters Down Under Dies. Those awesome googly eyes I've had in my stash for a few years. I found a package of assorted sizes in this style on Amazon: Watch them Wiggle Eyes with Lashes (100 pieces) . And I just ordered these ( Creativity Street Painted Wiggle Eyes - Painted Wiggle Eyes )
because those brightly colored lids are too fun! Got these ( Creativity Street 3D Wiggle Eyes ) too. Perfect for Halloween, zombies, reptiles and so many things. FUN!

I used the Chit Chat Stamp Set and coordinating Chit Chat Dies for the thought bubble greeting, hearts and the sweet little bird perched atop the crocodile's head! I embossed the thought bubble greetings and hearts with gold and white embossing powders for a subtle look that coordinates nicely with the rest of the design.
I think that Kookaburra bird from the Critters Down Under Stamp Set is the cutest thing ever. I love the koala and the crocodile and the kangaroo (not pictured) but that Kookaburra is spot on. Love it!
I used the Lil' Inker Stitched Mats Rectangles for both the edge of the "scene" and around the white card base itself. The largest sized mat doesn't actually cut a rectangle but rather cuts the stitching lines! Perfect for adding that finishing detail to a card front!
