SIMON SAYS STAMP THIS IS THE LIFE | YOU ARE PAWESOME CARD

Friday, Simon Says Stamp released their latest collection, This Is The Life, and celebrated with a Blog Hop (click HERE to see the card I created for the hop).

Today I have another card using the SSS You Are Pawesome Stamp Set and coordinating SSS Cat and Dog Pawesome Dies. I used a similar inlay technique to the one I shared yesterday (see the Best Fishes card HERE), using my new favorite die set, SSS Frames. 

I painted a sheet of Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors (I used the Forget-Me-Not Blue and Neutral Tint watercolors). Once the sheet was dry I die cut the sheet first with the SSS Frames scallop frame keeping the inside rounded corner piece for my card. Then I die cut the words "pawesome" from the background using the SSS Cat and Dog Pawesome Dies. Next I used the skinny rectangular frame from SSS Frames and die cut the inside frame, tossing the skinny frame and keeping the border piece and inside piece.

I die cut some SSS Doll Pink Cardstock using the SSS Frames skinny rectangle frame and die cut the word "pawesome" using SSS Smoke Cardstock. I adhered the three pieces for the background to my card base (made from SSS Fog Cardstock) and glued the die cut word in place as well. Then I added the stamped greetings from the SSS You Are Pawesome Stamp Set stamped with SSS Black Ink.

I stamped the ball of yarn directly on the background and again on some smooth white cardstock. I colored in the ball with Copic Markers and cut out the ball, gluing it in place over the stamped image on the background.

I stamped the kitty on smooth white cardstock, coloring him/her in with Copic Markers (the individual colors I used are listed and linked below in the supplies) and die cut the image with the coordinating SSS Cat and Dog Pawesome Dies. I adhered the kitty with some foam adhesive.

I finished the card by stamping the small pawprint stamp from the SSS Pawprints On Our Hearts Stamp Set with SSS Smoke Ink in the bottom right corner of the card.
