I am super excited to share two new card projects featuring the new Pretty Pink Posh dies: Stitched Duo 2 Die and Stitched Film Strip Die. I am a huge fan of Paulina's dies and sequins and it is such an treat to get to play along with all the other blog hoppers today and showcase her incredible new products!
For my first card I created a horizontal frame for these stamped apples from the Clearly Besotted An Apple A Day Stamp Set using the Stitched Film Strip Die.
I layered several of the SSS Fog Cardstock die cut frames one on top of another to give my frame some nice dimension. I die cut the frame from white cardstock and used the inside pieces to give some nice contrast to the brightly stamped red apples and so that the frames had a nice decorative "backing". I love that the "inside" die cut pieces have stitching as well as the "outer" frame!
I popped the apples up in the frame using my favorite foam adhesive and added glitter detail to the leaves and stem with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker. I added Glossy Accents to the white places on the apples for some subtle raised dimension.
I created a tone-on-tone card base by stamping the SSS Wide Stripe Background on the SSS Fog Cardstock with SSS Fog Ink. I stamped a piece of white cardstock with the MFT Typewriter Background using MFT Grout Gray Ink. I placed a piece of vellum over the top, added the scallop PPP Stitched Borders die, securing so it wouldn't shift and ran them through my Big Shot together to add a decorative edge. The text behind the vellum is much better in real life. I stamped the greeting from the Clearly Besotted An Apple A Day Stamp Set using Versamark and heat embossed it with white and red embossing powders.
A thin strip of SSS Schoolhouse Red Cardstock and some thin white twine round out the top of the card. I finished by adding a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
My second card share today showcases the new Stitched Duo 2 Die. I used these dies to create a shaker card! I might be a wee bit addicted to shaker cards!
I die cut some Neenah smooth white cardstock using the rectangle Stitched Duo 2 Die and stamped the duck from the SSS Tiny Ray of Sunshine Stamp Set. I colored the ducks in with Copic Markers.
I die cut a retangle from SSS Island Blue Cardstock and SSS Sea Glass Cardstock using the Stitched Duo 2 Die, then die cut each with the scallop PPP Stitched Borders die to create "water". I layered them along the bottom of the white rectangle.
For the frame I die cut SSS Sea Glass Cardstock using both pieces from the Stitched Duo 2 Die. I die cut another rectangle from a transparency and adhered it to the back of the front piece of the shaker. I used my favorite foam adhesive along all four sides and filled the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Then I removed the backing paper from the foam adhesive and secured the backing piece to the shaker.
I added detail to the card base with the SSS Ledger Drops Stencil and Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I stamped part of one of the greetings from the SSS Tiny Ray of Sunshine Stamp Set using SSS Black Ink and finished thre greeting with the die cut word "sunshine" from the SSS Sun and Sunshine Dies. I die cut SSS Sunshine Cardstock using the circles from the Stitched Duo 2 Die to use as a "sun" and die cut the clouds from white cardstock using the SSS Chevron Clouds die to complete the card.
