Lawn Fawn + Perfect Paper Crafting Week (The Perfect Airbrush - video, discount code & GIVEAWAY!)

I used The Perfect Airbrush with Distress Markers to create the snowflake background on my card.

I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the largest rectangle from the Small Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts die collection and masked off the edges with post it tape. I die cut the Stitched Snowflakes Lawn Cuts dies from Eclipse Masking Tape and layed them over the die cut rectangle, masking off parts of the background.

I used The Perfect Airbrush with the Chipped Sapphire, Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass Distress Markers to airbrush color over the masked off die cut background. Once I had the coverage I wanted, I peeled off all the maskes to reveal the awesome snowflake background! No muss, no fuss... just an easy airbrushed background in minutes!

I stamped and embossed the greeting from Deck The Halls on vellum using Versamark Ink and silver embossing powder. I stamped the banner around the greeting from the Penelope's Blossoms Stamp Set and heat embossed it with white embossing powder before die cutting with the coordinating Penelope's Blossoms banner die.

Mama Elephant Designer Series | Peek A Frames Creative Cuts "Christmas Florals" Card (video)

Today I have another card showcasing the Peek A Frames Creative Cuts die collection. For my card share today I thought it would be fun to show how to use the window peek a frame to create a double window that opens from the center of the card to reveal the lovely Christmas scene inside.

To create the window I first die cut some smooth white cardstock using the A2 sized Peek A Frame die. Then I die cut the window opening Peek A Frame die with the score line along the left side of the card, leaving approximately equal distance between the left side and the top and bottom of the stitched rectangle. Next I flipped the die over, lining up the cut side with the center of the card and die cut the design again, creating a window that opens towards the center of my card. 

For the Christmas scene inside my card I stamped and watercolored the images from Sweet Havana, Winter Wonderland, and Bloomsies stamp sets using Distress Markers. Once the images were dry, I stamped the greeting from the Merry Greetings stamp set using black dye ink. A bit of clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker over the hanging ornament bells and some simple black lines to "hang" the bells complete the inside of my card.

I popped the frame up with foam adhesive and adhered the whole thing to a white card base.

Mama Elephant Designer Series | "Stack of Gifts" Tags A Lot Creative Cuts (video)

It's hard to believe that Christmas is only three months away and the holiday season will be upon us before we know it!

One of my favorite ways of dressing up small gifts is by creating my own die cut boxes from Christmas-themed patterned papers on the Silhoeutte Cameo. And every gift box needs a beautiful tag to adorn it! The Tags A Lot Creative Cuts die collection makes the perfect gift tags!

Today I have a set of five gift boxes all embellished with wonderful little tags die cut using the awesome new Tags A Lot Creative Cuts dies. I used the two smallest tags from the collection for these elegant silver and green packages.

To create the tags, I die cut five tags from smooth white cardstock and one of each size from vellum using the Tags A Lot Creative Cuts dies. The hole reinforcements were all cut from silver foil specialty paper.

I stamped greetings and images on each of the tags using an assortment of images and greetings from the Confetti, Winter Wonderland, Merry Greetings, and No Peeking stamp sets. I used Simon Says Stamp SSS Fog Gray and Slate Gray inks and Versamark embossed with silver embossing powder to keep with the color scheme of the gift set.

Mama Elephant Designer Series | Believe In Magic Creative Cuts Card (video)

Today I have a Designer Series Christmas card share showcasing the new Believe In Magic Creative Cuts dies. The snowglobe design of the Believe In Magic Stamp Set and coordinating dies lends itself to one of my favorite kind of cards to create: shaker cards!

I combined the Believe In Magic Creative Cuts dies with the Femme Frames Creative Cuts dies to create a fun snowglobe shaker card complete with reindeer, citscape and starry night sky!

To create the front of the card, I first die cut some SSS Fog Cardstock using the Femme Frames Creative Cuts stitched rectangle die and added "stripes" with the wide stripe border stamp from the Basic Borders Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting from Believe In Magic using SSS Slate Gray Ink and MFT Wild Cherry Hybrid Ink.

I stamped the snowglobe base on white cardstock using the SSS Slate Ink and die cut it with the coordinating Believe In Magic Creative Cuts die. Using the snowglobe base for reference I positioned the globe die and used a bit of tape to hold it in place and ran it through my die cutting machine to create the "window".

I die cut a piece of transparency and glued it to the backside of the front panel of the card and added two layers of foam tape around the opening to "hold in" the Martha Stewart Snow Glitter.

To finish the inside of the snowglobe I stamped the cityscape and reindeer from the Believe In Magic Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using SSS Black Ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped the moon with MFT Lemon Drop Hybrid Ink and die cut it as well. I die cut another piece of SSS Fog Cardstock using the Femme Frames Creative Cuts stitched rectangle die and adhered the "scene" to the backing piece. Then I added the glitter to the piece with foam adhesive and adhered the backing to sandwich the shaker elements inside the card.

Layered ribbons, Pretty Pink Posh sequins and baker's twine tied around the snowglobe complete the card.

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Snow Day Stamps (video)

Happy Tuesday stamping friends. Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the brand new Snow Day Stamp Set and coordinating Snow Day Lawn Cuts dies. My card today is inspired by THIS card I created back in July. While that card featured many of the same elements, it is more what I would consider "elegant" and this card is more whimsical based on the color choices of the cards. The creation of both cards is very similar so I thought I'd share a video today showing how easy it is to create these fun, snowy scenes!

I die cut all the background elements for the snowy scene using the Small Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts dies, Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts dies and Forest Border Lawn Cuts die.

I stamped the trees from the Snow Day Stamp Set using MFT Gumdrop Green Ink and Hero Arts Lime  Ink, then die cut them with the coordinating Snow Day Lawn Cuts dies.

I stamped the bunnies from the Snow Day Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them in with Copic Markers (the individual marker colors are listed and linked below in the supplies).

The layers are as follows:

  1. Snow Day 6x6 patterned paper die cut with the largest Small Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts die
  2. Snow Day 6x6 pattenred paper die cut with the the largest Small Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts die and then the Forest Border Lawn Cuts die
  3. White cardstock die cut with the largest Small Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts die and then the Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts die
  4. stamped and die cut trees

Mama Elephant Designer Series | Cozy Christmas Creative Cuts

Happy First Day of Fall!

Christmas is three months away so it's the perfect time to start your holiday paper crafting! Today I have an oversized gift tag adorned with stamped, colored and die cut Christmas images perfect for adding to a package, a plate of goodies for a neighbor or even adhering to a card to send to a loved one. Mama Elephant just released the Cozy Christmas Creative Cuts dies to coordinate with the super adorable Cozy Christmas Stamp Set.

I created a Christmas scene by combining Santa, the tree, and gifts from Cozy Christmas with the car from Carnival Toppers and teddy bear from Carnival Cupcakes. The oversize tag and banner are from the new Tag A Lot Creative Cuts die collection.

I stamped all the images to color on smooth white cardstock and colored them in with Copic Markers.

For Santa I used the follwing colors to color in his skin:

To color in the red for Santa's suit, I started with R14.

Next, I added my mid-tone red color, R46. I tend to add less to begin. I can go back and pull in more of this color as needed after adding my darkest color.

For my darkest red color, R39, I used it to add some shadowing:

After blending, here's sweet Santa (pretend I colored in his pants and for that matter his nose too....)

To color in the "white" on Santa's suit and beard I used these Cool Gray Copic colors:

To color in the tree I like to use the feathering technique starting with the lightest yellow-green Copic color, YG93.

Next, I feathered in my darkest yellow-green color, YG99, from the top of each layer of the tree.

Next I filled in with my mid-tone yellow-green Copic Marker, YG97.

To add some detail shadowing under each "layer" of the tree I added some Cool Gray 7. 

I colored in the smaller images and die cut them with the coordinating Cozy Christmas Creative Cuts, Carnival Toppers Creative Cuts and Carnival Cupcakes Creative Cuts.

For the background of the jumbo tag, I masked off the stitched border using post it tape and repeatedly stamped the greeting "merry and bright" from the Polar Pals stamp set to give my tag a subtle text background.

I stamped the greeting from Cozy Christmas on the banner from Tags A Lot and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Stitched Snowflakes

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Stitched Snowflakes Lawn Cuts dies and Deck The Halls Stamp Set and coordinating dies. Last year at this time one of my favorite Lawn Fawn product releases was the Stitched Leaves Lawn Cuts dies so I was tickled to see the snowflakes this year! I filled this 17" square pinboard with tags die cut with the Tag You're It Lawn Cuts dies and adorned with snowflakes from the Stitched Snowflakes Lawn Cuts die collection, a bit of stamping and pretty baubles and embellishments from my crafty stash!

I die cut the tags from Neenah Solar White Cardstock, vellum, transparencies and Doodlebug flocked papers using the larger of the two Tag You're It Lawn Cuts dies.

I layered some of the tags, added ribbons, twine, etc. through the tops of the tags and pinned them to the pinboard with some trinket pins I've had in my stash forever.

The stitching detail on the die cut snowflakes gives them such a lovely finished look. I die cut them from glitter papers, vellum, cardstock, flocked paper, etc. for a lovely assortment of texture. I embellished the centers with gems, clear buttons, glitter enamel dots, etc.

I created a "title tag" for my pinboard using the Deck The Halls Stamp Set and Thank You Tags stamping with Versamark and embossing with gold and white embossing powder.

I think this will make an awesome addition to our holiday decor this year. Decorated tags are some of my very favorite things.

Mama Elephant Designer Series | Tags A Lot Creative Cuts (video)

Today I'm sharing a gift tag idea showcasing the brand new Tags A Lot Creative Cuts Die Collection. I've used the second largest tag for my project today and adorned the tag with images and/or die cuts from Pandamonium, Cozy Christmas, Landscape Trio, No Peeking and Confetti.

I die cut the second largest tag from some khaki cardstock and used a stencil and embossing paste to add "falling snow" to the background of my design. Once the embossing paste dried, I adhered a hole reinforcement die cut with the largest of the three designs in the Tags A Lot Creative Cuts Die Collection.

I die cut two additional tags from white cardstock and used the Landscape Trio Creative Cuts dies to create "snow drifts" along the bottom of my tag.

I die cut the banner from vellum using the Tags A Lot Creative Cuts dies and stamped and embossed a greeting from the No Peeking Stamp Set on the banner. I wrapped one end of the banner around the top layer of "snow" and stapled it in place with the Tiny Attacher. I adhered the snow drift to the tag with foam adhesive.

I stamped Santa from Cozy Christmas and the standing panda bear from Pandamonium on smooth white cardstock and colored in the images. I die cut both using the coordinating Cozy Christmas Creative Cuts die and Pandamonium Creative Cuts die. I trimmed the santa hat from the rest of the image and glued it in place on top of the panda's head. I adhered the santa panda to my tag using foam adhesive.

I stamped, colored and die cut three of the gift packages from Cozy Christmas, die cut the images and adhered them to my tag.

I finished the design with a sprinkling of glitter paper confetti created with the Confetti Creative Cuts die.

Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week | Love You A Latte

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the Love You A Latte Stamp Set and coordinating dies and the Large Stitched Rectangles Creative Cut dies and Small Stitched Rectangles Creative Cuts dies. I've been loving all the sweet little tea/coffee/hot cocoa cups and these from Lawn Fawn are customizeable with little faces, hearts, etc. I created a little trio of stacking cups by using a craft knife to cut slits in the top of two of the cups.

I die cut the white stitched rectangle from white cardstock using the Large Stitched Rectangles Creative Cut dies and matted it on a rectangle cut from SSS Slate Cardstock using the Small Stitched Rectangles Creative Cuts dies.

I stamped the cups, plate and spoon from the Love You A Latte Stamp Set and colored them in with Copic Markers (the individual marker colors are listed and linked below in the supplies) and then die cut with the coordinating Love You A Latte Lawn Cuts. I added faces to the cups and detailing with white and black pens.

I stamped the greeting using SSS Fog Ink  and then stamped it again, slightly offset with SSS Smoke Ink. I love the sight shadow the Fog Ink gives the darker Smoke Ink.

To give the background some interest I stamped the front of my card base with the Lil Inker Design Quilted Stitched Pattern Die.

A couple of ribbons sandwiched between the stitched rectangle layers and sequis adorened with small gems finish the card.

Mama Elephant Designer Series | Polar Pals (video)

My card share today showcases the brand new Polar Pals Creative Cuts dies. I created my own little "polaroid" photo using the Polaroid Fun Creative Cuts Dies complete with a scene crafted using the Polar Pals Stamp Set and new coordinating dies. I matted the entire thing on a jumbo sized tag created with the brand new Tags A Lot Creative Cuts die collection.

To create the polaroid, I first stamped and colored the images from the Polar Pals Stamp Set using Copic Markers, then I die cut the colored images with the coordinating Polar Pals Creative Cuts dies and fussy cut the snow drift, adding a touch of color with the BG0000 Snow Green Copic Marker.

I die cut the large polaroid frame from the Polaroid Fun Creative Cuts die collection from white cardstock, gray cardstock and patterned paper. I adhered the white frame to the dark gray frame, slightly off-setting the frames for a nice "shadow". I assembled the fun snow scene on the "inside piece" from the polaroid frame cut from patterned paper.

I stamped the greeting from the Polar Pals Stamp Set uisng both black and red inks.

I die cut the large tag from the Tags A Lot Creative Cuts die collection from light gray cardstock and the hole reinforcement from dark gray cardstock. I adhered the hole reinforcement to the tag, punching a hole to thread some ribbon through and tie in a pretty bow.

I assembled the frames and winter scene on the large tag and adhered washi tape to the top and bottom of the polaroid photo for a fun touch.

A scattering of Christmas colored sequins add sparkle and embellishment.

I adhered the tag to my white card base using foam adhesive.
