Happy Monday!
I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to be here sharing a sneak of an exclusive project I created for the Simon Says Stamp Blog featuring Mama Elephant stamps and dies and..... to be sharing a new card and video showcasing the latest stamp set and die collaboration between SSS + ME!
I love when Mama Elephant and Simon Says Stamp collaborate on a product because we get to enjoy their hard work and efforts in the form of amazing stamps and dies! How cute is the new Super Duo Stamp Set and coordinating craft dies?!!!!
I created a couple of cards with the new set to share with you all today!
I started my cards by die cutting some watercolor paper using the Index Card Creative Cuts stitched rectangle die. Then I applied some Robin's Egg Blue Peerless Watercolor to the rectangle to create the "sky" for my superhero scene. I set aside the background to dry and stamped the background for my greeting using MFT Lemon Drop and the boy/girl using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on smooth white cardstock. I colored in the boy/girl super hero with Copic Markers (the individual marker colors are listed and linked below in the supplies).
I die cut the images using the coordinating Super Duo craft dies and stamped the larger greeting on the die cut super hero thought bubble, applying Glossy Accents over the letters for subtle sheen and dimension. While the Glossy Accents dried, I stamped the cityscape from the Super Duo Stamp Set along the bottom of the stitched rectangle background using SSS Slate Ink, SSS Smoke Ink and SSS Fog Ink. I layered the stamped images from darkest to lightest to give the illusion of depth and dimension.
I stamped the smaller greeting along the top of the rectangle using SSS Black Ink.
I stamped the clouds from the Super Duo Stamp Set on vellum using Versamark Ink and die cut them with the coordinating Super Duo Craft Dies.
I adhered the thought bubble and super kid to the card using foam adhesive and glued the clouds in place using the Zig Glue Pen. Then I adhered a scattering of star confetti created with the Confetti Creative Cuts die cut from glitter cardstock(s).
I die cut the scalloped rectangle from vellum using the Index Card Creative Cuts die. I layered the super kid rectangle on the vellum rectangle, then popped up the design with foam adhesive before adhering to my card base.
