Welcome to the Lawn Fawn Fawny Holiday Week! If you're looking for fun Lawn Fawn holiday-inspired projects to help you with your holiday paper crafting, look no further than the Lawn Fawn Blog! Today I have a fun shaker card and watercoloring stamped images tutuoral to share with you!
I am currently addicted to shaker cards and creating stamped scene cards. Combine the two? Stamping happiness, I tell ya!
I created a snowy scene shaker card using the Winter Owl Clear Stamp and Die Set, Joy To the Woods Stamp Set and coordinating dies, Large Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts dies and Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts dies. Layers of stamped and die cut embellishments, vellum, acetate, foam and a frame all combine to create a wonderful layered and dimensional shaker scene.
For the background of the card I stamped the birch trees from the Joy To the Woods Stamp Set and colored in the trees by watercoloring with Distress Markers. I die cut the shapes using the coordinating dies. I die cut snow drifts from smooth white cardstock using Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts dies and tucked some of the trees behind the "back" snow drift and the rest behind the "front" snow drift.
I die cut a piece of vellum using the largest stitched rectangle from the Large Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts dies and stamped the falling snow design on the vellum using Versamark Ink and embossed the background with white embossing powder. I stamped the greeting from the Winter Owl Clear Stamp and Die Set and embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder. I attached the vellum to the background.
I die cut a piece of acetate using the largest stitched rectangle from the Large Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts dies and created a frame for my card front using two of the rectangles. I adhered the acetate to the frame and applied two layers of foam adhesive to the borders to create a well for the Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I attached the card base with the rest of the layers to the frame.
I stamped the owl on watercolor paper using Versafine Ink and watercolored the image with Distress Markers. I stamped the oranment from the Joy To the Woods Stamp Set and watercolored it, stamped the branch from the Winter Sparrows Stamp Set and die cut all images with the coordinating dies and assembled them on top of the acetate as shown.
I added some silver string to the ornament and tied it around the branch of the tree and Glossy Accents to the eyes and nose of the owl.
