Happy December 1st everyone! I'm so excited today to be a guest designer for Newton's Nook Designs! Jennifer is such a sweetheart and her awesome stamp designs speak to all of us fur baby lovers out there!
For my card share today I created a simple shaker using the Simon Says Stamp In Stitches Rectangle Die Collection and the Simon Says Stamp In Stitches Square Die Collection. I stamped and colored the adorable image from the Newton's Nook Christm Delivery Stamp Set for the inside of the shaker and stamped the greeting from the set in the lower right corner below the frame opening.
To create my card, I die cut a square using one of the dies from the Simon Says Stamp In Stitches Square Die Collection. I stamped the sleigh image from the Newton's Nook Christm Delivery Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the image and background with Copic Markers (the individual marker colors are listed and linked below in supplies).
I created the frame for the shaker by using dies from the Simon Says Stamp In Stitches Square Die Collection inside a die from the Simon Says Stamp In Stitches Rectangle Die Collection. I stamped a greeting from the Newton's Nook Christm Delivery Stamp Set with MFT Wild Cherry Hybrid Ink (this is my absolutely favorite color of red ink...perfect red!). I die cut another rectangle from a piece of transparency and backed the frame with it, adhered two layers of foam tape to the edges of the frame and filled the frame with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins in 4mm and 6mm, Marshmallow sequins in 4mm and Silver Circle Confetti.
I adhered the card base to the shaker and bam, I have a fun shaker card with the focus on the adorable stamped sleigh and critters in the sleigh! ;)
